Though his job is a DEMANDING one that should take most of his time, he always makes sure to not make it an excuse to escape commitments, not even to shoo people’s requests away, such is the case of the designated reporter who has asked him for the interview twice before, the third time is the one he found himself able to give them his promise for it.

He is greeted generously by the hosting team, his usual smile is given in return, bringing softness to his features.   ❝  Ms. Lane.  ❞   His hand is extended for them to shake, respectful of their status and image.   ❝   I’m deeply sorry for not being able to find the time for this interview before.   ❞  He doesn’t really need to apologize; it is not his fault his list of patients keeps on increasing every now and then, his MIRACULOUS hands to blame for the infinite queue. 

clark exhales, slowly. between work and hero business, the kryptonitan hadn't been doing his best to foster his relationship with lois. he's pretty sure that not only would he get an earful from chloe, but lois herself.

so of his own accord, clark makes the decision to show up unannounced. But with subtle plans ahead, depending on how she ultimately responds. he's not about to push in any one way. clearing his throat, he knocks on her door.

he was dressed nicely, with a dress shirt and pants, nothing too over the top. he waits patiently as he hears feet shuffling, the latch coming undone and suddenly, it's hard to process as the door opens.

dipping his head, he presses a tender kiss to her mouth. pulling back just enough. a beat, one singular pulse. ❝ i'm really sorry, lois. let me try and make it up to you with dinner out. ❞

❛ I wanna ask for your forgiveness, Lois, ❜ is how Sofia begins her apology. She does not have the famed reporter tied up. There is no weapon forcing her into position. But there is this overwhelming hostility that makes it clear Lois can't just up and leave the Falcone mansion at her own will. Sofia is almost sorry for that, but that isn't the reason she's apologizing. Her heels click on the floor as she draws closer to Lois. This is the perhaps most dangerous game Sofia has played yet, dangling the food of Superman. Even saying that is a gross underestimation of Lois fucking Lane though, isn't it?

RAPID   FLASHES   ATTEMPT   TO   CAPTURE   THE   MAN'S   ENTRANCE,   carpet   trailing   a   crimson   path   to   the   event's   hall   stepped   by   a   surprisingly   lone   pair   of   oxford   shoes.   There   was   no   slender   arm   hooked   around   navy   blue's   armani   suit,   no   golden   circle   adorned   finger,   and   skin   did   not   bear   lipstick   marking   the   presence   of   another.   B.ruce   W.ayne   drafted   an   unabashed   grin   for   the   headlines   as   he   vanished   amid   the   white   tempest   into   the   solace   of   the   building,   ALONE,   implicitly   exclaiming   his   BACHELOR   status.   Yet,   between   the   security   validation   &   the   ballroom,   lips   flutter   against   his   cheek,   and   scent   forms   the   image   of   the   woman   who   was   briefly   on   his   side   before   head   revolves   to   find   her.   Ablaze,   gaze   lands   on   @pu1itzer   with   a   promising   grin,   body   slightly   slant   at   the   reporter   when   a   nod   reciprocates   her   affection.   He   proceeds   with   the   scene,   escaping   to   the   sea   of   tables   &   bottles,   sitting   at   the   bar,   wondering   how   long   Lois   will   take   to   realize   he's   sent   her   the   dress   for   tonight   with   a   rendezvous   note.   Maybe   she   already   has.
