Itty bitty rant
Gotta get on my PTT soapbox here.
My hot take is that Helen is a nitwit. Not in the tradtional sense of the word (that is, stupid) but in the sense she's just as crazy as all her other little friends.
Like the thing that defines a guest star is their otherness compared to the guys: they may have different personalities, but they're all designed to be as distinct from the main cast. A typical guest star carries a certain air about her, like she's too good for this place (which she is). A guest star will often play "straight man" to the crudeness around her. Even more energetic guests like Harmony tend to carry themselves as the serious performer in a room full of clowns.
Now, that's not to say Helen doesn't also play that role sometimes. She's just as full of herself as any other guest star, and is very much confident in her abilities as a performer (admittedly, sometimes a little too much so).
The difference is that she leans into the absurdity of it all more than the others. She's more than happy to poke fun at herself if she feels it benefits the show as a whole. Chicken puns are her bread and butter: the others may make them, but not nearly as enthusiastically. Helen LOVES a good play on words and thrives on banter. Like you get the sense that she's having fun rather than defending herself against a pack of hyenas (even if the jokes get a little too personal for her)
Yes Helen is a diva in the classic sense, but she's willing to put that all aside and be silly for the sake of the show, and THAT is why she's a nitwit.
