It was only a small challenge to act like the death of Piper didnt affect him in the slightest. No one knew that he loved her and they were a team. Now the plans of killing Emma and the others had to change. Which Kieran didnt mind so much, it wasnt hard pretending that he was innocent and grieving over the loss of his father.

He sneaked out the back of the school one afternoon, venturing off to a run down farm that he was staking out to use as a trap. He walked in, making sure to shut the doors behind him but stopped suddenly in his tracks when he saw Billy. Fuck now his plan for that afternoon had to change. This was getting more than irritating.

he’s   in   hysterics ,   finally   recognizing   he   may   be   in   a   little   too   far   over   his   head   with   all   of   this .   sure ,   they’d   taken   out   sid’s   mom   a   year   back ,   but   casey   came   out   of   nowhere -   billy’d   just   said   jump ,   and   stu   could   only   say   how   high ?

billy’s   voice   is   calm ,   though -   a   complete   contrast   to   stu’s   heavy ,   frantic   breathing ;   sure ,   the   rush   of   a   kill   is   fun   and   all ,   but   there’s   still   real   fucking   blood   on   his   hands ,   and   he’s   not   sure   he’s   ready   to   deal   with   that   again .

but   despite   his   better   judgement ,   he   calms   down .   looks   billy   in   the   eyes ,   gets   his   breathing   under   control .   nods .   if   billy   says   they’re   gonna   be   fine ,   well ,   fuck -   who   is   stu   to   disagree ?   they’d   gotten   themselves   off   sid’s   mom ,   billy   had   protected   them   on   that   front ,   so   of   course   he   wouldn’t   get   sloppy   now .

she’s    glad    ( for    once )    that    he’d    snuck    in    and    stayed    the    night .    her    father    was    out    on    business ,    house    empty    except    for    them -    strictly    cuddled    up ,    though .    despite    how    she    tries    ( oh ,    and    how    she    tries ! )    to    get    past    the    psychosomatic    hurdle ,    she    freezes    whenever    he    touches    skin    too    far    up    her    thigh -

she’d    fallen    asleep    in    his    arms ,    and    before    she    could    get    any    real    rest ,    she    wakes    up    with    a    start -    shuddering ,    breaking    into    a    cold    sweat ,    barely    able    to    relax    her    body .
