Stepping back to set down her bag, the older woman examined the elegant layout of the house. It smelt sweetly of incense and much of it was painted white, with an ornate staircase and delicate lace blinds. Most noticeable of all was the light. There did not seem to be a wall without a window and the rooms were washed in natural warm sunlight. Cynthia looked a little like a spectre in her flowing black coat and her travel weary look.Ā

There was always some sort of incident that caused him to meet people who would be come important in his life, Riley mused. He met Cynthia as a kid when his mother took him to visit Celestic Town. The meeting with Dawn was due to Team Galactic grunts causing trouble in the caves of Iron Island. Leaf had been his partner in tackling the mystery that befell on Canalave City. His first meeting with Caitlin went along with that line of circumstances.Ā
Riley had been passing through Hearthome City as fast as he possibly could, keeping his head down in order to keep the distractions to a minimum. There werenāt many people at the time but he didnāt want to take any chances. He could still sense the aura around him, albeit in a subdued manner thanks to his training on tuning out large amounts of aura. It was still a work in progress but at least he wasnāt in any danger of becoming overwhelmed. It was when he passed by an alleyway that he felt it.
Two signatures, one unique while the other felt... dark.
Riley moved on instinct at that, slipping inside the alley with quiet steps. The further along he was inside, the stronger the signatures became. It wasnāt long before he heard voices. The rough grizzly one was a cause for alarm because the words he spoke were the unsavory type. Cerulean eyes instantly zeroed in on a hulking figure that approached a young woman. One more look at his aura confirmed his intentions so Riley leaped into action.Ā
āWhat do you think youāre doing?ā His voice boomed in the alleway, causing two sets of eyes to swivel in his direction. The man seemed like he wasnāt about to back down, if the way he glared at him was any indication. Riley didnāt want a physical confrontation if he could so he activated his aura sight, making his eyes shine an eerie blue hue. Underneath the dim overhead light, it only served to make him look more... intimidating and unearthly. Riley took a purposeful step forward, his eyes flashing dangerously and that finally sent the man scrambling away.
Once he was sure that the man had no otherĀ āfriendsā around, he cut off the aura, eyes returning back to their usual cerulean.Ā
āAre you alright there? He didnāt do anything yet, did he?ā Riley asked the girl, his gaze shifting to her lithe figure. She was definitely the source for the unique aura that he felt. He briefly wondered if she had some sort of special abilities before decided that those questions were best left for another day. Right now, he had to make sure that she was alright.
She slowly shook her head, which made him heave out a silent sigh of relief. Riley realized that she was still tense and he wanted to do something that could hopefully help her calm down. An idea came to mind but for it to work, he had to have her full consent first.Ā
āDo you mind if I hug you? I think it would help. You had a close call, after all,ā Riley asked, his cheeks flushing slightly. He put up his hands to show that he was prepared to back off if she told him to. After what seemed like forever, she inclined her head, a silent grant of permission.Ā
Riley flashed her his warmest smile before slowly approaching her. Once he was near enough, he carefully wrapped his arms around her small stature, pulling her closer to his chest.Ā āYouāre safe now...ā he murmured softly. At first she was tense but after a bit of rocking back and forth, she relaxed in his hold. Riley took that as a small victory.
Later on, once he helped her towards the local Pokemon Center, he would learn that the girl was none other than Caitlin, the Psychic-type Elite Four from the Unova region. First meetings could be really strange but sometimes it could yield the sweetest friends.

She knows how to operate and maintain them, and she isnāt a bad shot, per say, but at the same time she is most certainly not an expert, and moving targets, or targets that are really far away would pose problems for her.

What amazes Jupiter: Jupiter is often astonished and amazed by genuinely selfless people, who donāt care about whatās in it for them, or what its going to cost them. Additionally, new pokemon and places often amaze and excite her, if they are truly spectacular.
What infuriates Jupiter: Know-it-alls. (Especially Charon). She hates people who act like they know everything, and that are really arrogant because of that, and takes great pleasure in messing up that mentality. (Or, you know, killing it if sheās irritated enough.)
