I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to drawing and/or posting art online, so bear with me here! These headcanons are all my opinion, and it is okay if you have a different headcanon from mine as long as you respect mine!

So, here I go, I guess...

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A PRETTY LONG POST!

Blind Specter: Agender

Context on why: Because they are genderless according to the Cuphead wiki, despite the fact that there's a couple of people that use masculine pronouns on them.

The Root Pack: Aromantic

Context on why: I mean... I kinda ran out of LGBTQ headcanons with this one and landed on Aromantic.

Werner Werman: Aroace

Context on why: Werner Werman most definitely has more interest in other stuff than to be involved with any romance or anything love-related. I also don't ship him with Dr. Kahl since... eww (I think the context explains it itself on why I don't ship them).

Chef Saltbaker: Asexual

Context on why: Ever heard of the phrasing "Cake is better than s3x"? Yeah, I think Chef Saltbaker would be the type of guy to think that way.

Goopy le Grande: Autosexual

Context on why: The colors may not give off the autosexual theme in this image at first. But when you compare this to the color scheme on the flag, you'll see why. There's not a lot to say other than Goopy is incredibly narcissistic.

Pip and Dot: Bigender

Context on why: Like the one with the Root Pack headcanon, I kinda ran out of LGBTQ headcanons and landed on Bigender, which had me thinking "Easy! Pip and Dot! They are technically bigender since they are two genders in one body, right?".

Beppi the Clown: Bisexual

Context on why: I mean, Beppi has a bicolored suit and I thought "Huh... Bicolor... Bi... Bisexual!". Also, Beppi is either shipped with Bonbon or Djimmi (sorry Magic Carnival shippers, but I ship him with Bonbon).

Mangosteen: Demiboy

Context on why: He's a literal object, so I thought "How can an object have a gender? Eh... Demiboy's good enough for this one here...".

King Dice: Gay

Context on why: He's the gayest in the land~ Besides that... I don't know, honestly. He's shipped with a lot of dudes I guess (especially the Devil)...

Hilda Berg: Genderfluid Female

Context on why: Let me cook with the reason why... She’s genderfluid in my headcanon due to her shapeshifting into either being male or staying female. For example, when she shapeshifts into her Taurus form, it’s worth pointing out that bulls, which are animals associated with the Taurus zodiac sign, are male. When she’s in her Sagittarius form, Hilda Berg becomes masculine. And when she’s in her Gemini form, she stays female.

Djimmi the Great: Gender Non-Conforming

Context on why: Now this one right here... oooh boy where do I begin? Ok so, Djimmi’s development history, especially gender-wise, is genuinely confusing for me. The fact that Djimmi used to be female but at the same time used to be male in early development messes with my brain a lot that it’s hard for me to label what type of male he is. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, the real Djimmi is obviously male. But the thing is that when I checked the Cuphead wiki, it's stated that Djimmi used to be female. But at the same time when I check the concept art, he used to be male as well and it messes with my brain a lot. And now I came to the conclusion that he's gender non-conforming.

Baroness von Bonbon: Pansexual

Context on why: She has a ton of minions (4/5 are male and 1/5 are female but she likes them regardless in my interpretation) and also... I am pan myself and I like pink and have a sweet tooth just like Bonbon so...

Sally Stageplay: Straight Ally

Context on why: She's married to a man (I guess)... and that's all that I have to say.

Sorry for the radio silence! So here's two pages of the next chapter, the introduction to the first debtors, The Root Pack!

Shedding Tears

"Bwaaahahahahahahaha!!"

A certain sob could be heard by two very annoyed vegetables. It was the early dawn and they could only guess this cry was from a nightmare.

"Not again..." Moe grumbled, planting himself face first in his flower bed, covering his ears.

"This is the fifth night in a row..." Psycarrot whined, almost close to crying as much as Weepy. The little onion sobbed more and more, Moe finally getting up and shifting to his plot.

"Alright what's wrong...?" Moe begrudgingly asked. He didn't try to hide the fact that he was tired, it was very obvious. And that made Weepy even more sad.

"I-I'm s-sohorry to b-be a b-b-boohohohohother waahahaha!!"

The tears rained down his cheeks, making the thirsty ground to drink it up. Normally, Moe would let Weepy cry it out until he was better, but he knew this time, if he apologized, well they were going to be up longer.

"Okay that's it...!" Psy huffed. He got a piece of paper and wrote down some words.

"What's that?" Moe asked, wobbling over.

"I'm getting someone else to handle this. It may cost some karots, but it will be worth it."

With the letter sent, post haste, a certain clown recieved it at the husk of the afternoon. He read it through, noticing the messy, lazy handwriting.

"Oooh poor Root Pack," he sighed out longingly. "Nightmares again. It really makes you think if I should do a HORSE act...! Cause nightmares? Mares?"

He looked a little kid, who was waiting on a balloon animal. "... Right, alright what was it again? Octopus?"

"A uh... Dog."

"Aaah the classic!"

After a well day at the carnival, he packed up many fun stuff and then trotted over to the garden. Saying hello to everyone on the way, he arrived at the gates. Looking at them, he happily shouted out.

"Wonderful architecture...! I'm sure it does wonder deFENCE again those pesky stompers!"

"Beppi!" Psy gleefully waved. "Phew about time..."

There were bags under everyone's eyes, then starting to soften and wrinkle. Everyone looked like there was a drought.

"Ooh ouch...! It looks like all of the life was LEEKed out of you...!"

He tried ribbing in some puns, but they didn't respond. Giggling, he let himself in and locked the gate.

"Thanks for coming as soon as you can, Beppi," Psy sighed out.

"I cour-JET over here as fast I could...!" he tried again. No response. But there was a tiny giggle from the onion.

"Teehee... Jet..." Weepy sleepily giggled.

"Aaah there it is!" Beppi went over. "I heard a certain Weepy was a little onion...! What happened?"

"I uh... I had a nightmare... And I accidentally woke up my friends and... And the nightmare was so horrible...! There were worms and ladybugs...! And ants...! Oh my gosh, the ants...!"

"Okay okay...! I got it... I can tell this is BUGGING you...!"

Another giggle, Weepy covering his mouth a bit.

"Pffteeheehee...! Thahat's funny...!"

The other two vegetables smiled happily. This was going well...!

"I got plenty more! But mostly, I want to make sure you smile again. So let's make that nightmare a dream come true! So... Think. What if the worms were... Gummy worms!"

"Oooh yummy!" Weepy clapped.

"Ooh you like those? I Mike-and-Like them too...!"

Another giggle earned, another step. "So, let's think...! What would you do if gummy worms came towards you."

"Um..." Weepy began to theorized. "... They can't really move. But... If they did... I can just eat them!"

"Yeah! There you go! Now what else, what else, ooh ladybugs! Or were they gentlemenbugs?"

"Eehahaha!! Gentlemenbuhuhuhugs...!"

More laughter earned, Beppi trying ti think.

"So! What if they were... Child bugs? Or maybe ladybugs in dresses!"

"Oooh they would look so pretty!" Weepy gasped.

"O-or..." Moe added in thought. "Instead of ladybugs, they were bees...!"

"Like Rumor?" Weepy asked. "She's so fun...!"

"Yes, Rumor!" Moe applauded.

"I love her tea," Psy admitted.

"Then that's what we will do! We will make-belEAF that the ladybugs are Rumor and her bees!"

Proud of the progress, Beppi went for the final one. "Now... Ants."

"O-oh dear..." Weepy whimpered, tearing up. However... A thought emerged. "... Maybe aunts? Like... My aunt Passion?"

"Yaaay! Yes!" Beppi patted his head. "You did it! That pesky nightmare won't bother you anymore...!"

Weepy, more proud than ever, squealed happily.

"Yay! Yes I did it! In fact... I'm going to take a nap! I can do this!"

"We all deserve a nap," Moe chuckled.

"Thank you again, Beppi," Psy smiled.

"Call me again if you ever need anything...!" he happily told them.

After an hour, Weepy began to cry, the two groaning.

"Uugghh not again..." Psy whined.
