I was saddened to hear of the death of Melbourne musician Ollie Olsen. in 1977, Ollie was a member of Young Charlatans along with Rowland S.Howard (prior to Rowland joining Boys Next Door, who morphed into Birthday Party). Ollie subsequently formed the groups Whirlywirld, Hugo Klang, Orchestra of Skin and Bone and No. Later he started the project Max Q with Michael Hutchence of INXS, as well as working in the "Dogs In Space" movie. In the 90's he formed the label Psy-Harmonics and formed Taipan Tiger Girls. Ollie was suffering from the disease Multiple System Atrophy. He was to be inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame in October 24 2024. RIP Ollie Olsen (20 February 1958 – 16 October 2024)
