For #positiveblr I’m asking people about 1) Something that never fails to make them smile 2) Their favorite thing to do when taking a break from writing and 3) One piece of advice (not necessarily in writing) that you wish you learned earlier. Please send this to at least three others do keep the positivity going!
Thanks for the ask! :]
1) Something that absolutely never fails to make me smile is Bill Wurtz’s history of the entire world, i guess Which is, without a doubt, one of the best history-related videos I’ve ever watched. Also like, Kero Kero Bonito’s Flamingo is a bop that never fails to make me smile even at the worst moments.
Also, a shout-out to my flatmate, Amir, who will never see this but he’s up there too.
2) Reading. Yes, maybe that’s cheating, but it’s there alongside thinking about writing. Also, youtube in general.
3) To actually take a break. I had (and still do to a certain extent) a tendency to try and get everything (both writing and other tasks) all done in one go. It’s better really to do things one step at a time, and it 100% doesn’t mean I’m “failing”.
Also, literally everyone feels insecure about something and feeling that doesn’t mean I’m failing. It took me forever to work that one out.
Pass the happy along! When you get this, reply with 5 things that make you happy then send to the last 10 people in your activity! :)
Aww thanks!
1. Hot bevarages: coffee, tea, macha, chocolate, I really love working on something while having half a litter of cozyness and motivation to sip from.
2. Rain/snow: I would not mind if water would be falling from sky on a daily basis
3. Stories: written, animated or told, I go nuts for a good story line and complex characters (but to be fair stories can make me overwhelmed and sad too)
4. Solving math/science questions: when you finaly understand something and know how to do it and you feel like a genius for a hot minute before feeling like a bafoon again... the good stuff!!
5. Public showers: ok hear me out lol, public showering implies I was just swimming/exercising (so I feel healthy and pumped), but also I just like being naked with friends (strangers too, but admiting it sounds creepy)
