This Saturday my niece @monicamooresmith & her #fianceé @justinmpacker will be married & sealed there for time & all eternity. This building I have many fond memories of my youth, attending #StakeConference & even a few concerts & recitals here. (at Provo City Center Temple)

The #ProvoCityCenterTemple with the #WinterSky. Hard to believe this building a decade ago was known as the #ProvoTabernacle, then it all changed on the night of 12.17.2010, when a destructive fire burned this pioneer era center of worship virtually to the ground. What filled my heart when the news of this tragedy came to me that morning would be what then #LDSChurch President #ThomasSMonson would announce 10 months later that it would be restored & rebuilt as a temple. Since Vernal was done this way during the 1990s, this was the eventuality since prior to this fire that made the most sense to me. Looking from the other side of #UniversityAvenue towards the northwest the #ProvoCityCenterTemple stands out against the #UtahValley #SummerSky. I hope many of you will reread the dedicating prayer offered by @OaksDallinH since growing up in this community this building also had special meaning to him as it does me & many others. Once known as the #ProvoTabernacle it followed another converted similarly aged building the #VernalUtahTemple, dedicated in 1997. The state of Utah will get a 17th #LDStemple this autumn when #CedarCity is dedicated, & an 18th has been announced for #SaratogaSprings. (at Provo City Center Temple)

As a child I so remember going to LDS #StakeConferences in this building then known as the #ProvoTabernacle back in the day when it was held quarterly instead of just semi-annually as is the case nowadays. After a disastrous fire destroyed the building in late 2010 the church made the decision to rebuild it as a #temple.
