Seth was excited and ecstatic. He was in charge of a Pepsi/Coke challenge booth for the kids. It was the best way he could imagine spending his time: out in the beautiful sunny weather, spending time with neighborhood children. He was also excited for the band that was gonna play today, that he would check out later. “Step right up!” he called out, pretending to put on the voice of a circus announcer. “Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Cola?” 

“ — this just in, i don’t have a career in boxing. i’m not going to the festival. unless you want me to scare away all the children.”

gus had a thing for live music ---- almost as much of a thing as he had for juices and smoothies ---- and he couldn’t help but catch himself frowning as a local band’s set ended. a familiar face, however, perked his spirits a bit. “ hey ! the lineup this year’s epic. i would’ve moved here ages ago, if i knew it was gonna’ be this good. do you, uh -----, ” he paused, running a hand through his hair and down his neck, “ do you wanna’, you know, do something ? together ? ”

“Wouldn’t it be really dope if we got really high and then walked through the fun house?” He elbowed his companion playfully. 

“Man, have you seen the size of this shit? This festival is going to be epic. Question is, where to start?” 

“ okay, so. ” grace is looking at the festival’s schedule on her phone, a firm believer that fun can be organised. —— or, at least, it can be when she’s on the events management team. “ we have to be back at the main stage for six, but everything else is free game until then. what do you want to do ? have you seen the hair braiding stand ? that was my idea — the glitter beads have been a major hit already. ”
