I'm really interested in buying a Helix and I know you recently bought one! Can you possibly give me a personal review of what you think of yours? I've heard they rattle quite a bit.
I absolutely love it, honestly! I've owned several moodhoops, and have played with MANY different hoops too.The Helix is, by far, my favorite. Yes, it does rattle a little bit but it's just one of those things that you have to tune out. I have an HDPE, and I expected the LEDs to have a softer look- but they're just as bright as a polypro Helix. Also, the LEDs are on the outside. Unlike a moodhoop where you can see the LEDS from all sides (like the inside part going against your body), the Helix LEDs are facing outwards. I personally think it's not nearly as blinding, and it doesn't make you as dizzy when you're getting into your flow for long periods of time.It really is super lightweight, ESPECIALLY compared to moodhoops (and I mean ALL moodhoops, not just some of them.) It's also weighted/balanced evenly. Also, the computer program where you can make your own patterns/settings is amazing. Whenever you first get the hoop, it's brightness isn't even at  100%. In the video I posted of myself hooping with my Helix when I first got it... the brightness was only at 50%.I know lots of people argue and say that they like the Future Hoop's patterns more... but god damn is that thing heavy. The Helix is very good if you hoop fast, or do a lot of tricks. Also, it stays charged for a LONG ass time (at least mine does, anyway.) I also love that there is little to no space in between the LEDs.The only thing I don't like about it is the "dark spot" where the microchip/battery port is.But other than that, it's amazing and well worth the money. They even give you several different chargers for it-- for your computer, for your car, etc. :)Â
