It is not for us to say that they feel less, enjoy less,  than we do.  It is not for us to say that we care about other humans more than they care for their own species.  We are learning more and more about the vast sensory arrays of non human animals all the time.  Let us not continue to make assumptions that demean or belittle their experience of life. It is the Great Spirit who placed them, and not our place to displace them. Let us think about the ways in which we are similar, and how to coexist with all of the children of Planet Earth.
