âHi kiddo, Peterâs in his room, he just got back from patrol!â May says, giving me a side hug as she greets me. âThanks May! I love your dress by the wayâ I smile, hugging her back before stepping to the side to pass her on my way to Peterâs bedroom. âThank you sweetie, Iâd love to chat with you soon, itâs been awhile since we had a girls day. Tomorrow while heâs on patrol what do you say you and I have dinner just us?â She smiles. âIâd love that,â I smile back. âYou better head on back, I think heâs expecting youâ May laughs.
âPeter?â I ask, knocking on his door before opening it. His back is to me as heâs stepping out of his Spider-Man suit, leaving him in just his boxers. âOh! I- Um.. I- sorryâ I mumble but freeze unsure where to go. âY/N, hi! Took you long enoughâ he laughs, spinning around to face me. I blush and try to avert my eyes before I notice his chest. There is no other way to describe what Iâm seeing, Peter has insanely sculpted washboard abs. Thereâs no way, Iâve known Peter for years and never knew?!
âY/N?â He asks, waving a hand in front of my face; slowly getting my focus eyes off his toned chest. âMy eyes are up here babeâ he laughs, catching where my eyes were looking before I looked away. I glare at him and cross my arms over my chest. âWhat?! It was a joke! I donât mind you staringâ he says and smirks. âYou didnât tell me you had absâ I blurt. Peter chuckles and blushes a bit, âwas I supposed to?â.
âPeter, Iâve known you for years! Before we even started dating! How did I not know?â I ask, still in shock. Peter continues laughing and walks closer to me, âto be fair, I havenât had them for yearsâ. âOh, okay fine. Iâm not mad thenâ I say, uncrossing my arms. Peter laughs and kisses my cheek causing my blush to redden. âWere you really mad you didnât know I had abs?â he asks, raising an eyebrow at me as he snakes his arms around my waist. I swallow hard and force a tight nod, ânot mad per say, but annoyed and frustratedâ. His eyes widen and he blushes a bit but then a smirk takes over his features, âfrustrated hmm?â.
âNot like that Peter!â I yell, embarrassed and jokingly push him away as I softly smack the top of his chest with the back of my right hand. He laughs and pretends to pout. I roll my eyes at him and shake my head, âI meant, between school, working with Stark, and patrol, when do you even find the time to workout?!â. He quickly stops pouting and stares at me in silence. âPeter?â I ask, worried I may have said something wrong.
âY/n/n, I promise Iâm not cutting into the time I have set aside for youâ Peter says, grabbing my hand. I swear I can physically feel my heart swell. âNo, Petey, thatâs not what I meant!â I assure him, pulling on his hand until heâs flush against me as I try to ignore how him being shirtless is causing me to feel how defined his muscles are as his chest is pressed up against me. âAre you sure? I know Iâm busy a lot but I promise Iâm not spending time on exercising when I could be with you insteadâ he says, his beautiful brown eyes soft as he looks over my features.
âCome on,â I say, pulling him to the bed to cuddle. He notices and quickly rushes over, tripping over his Spider-Man suit he left on the ground. Luckily he lands partially on the bed anyways but in a very clumsy manner. I giggle and smirk, âI thought your Peter tingle was supposed to help with thatâ. His face flushes bright red and he hides his face in the pillow as he mumbles something inaudible; probably annoyed I called it his Peter tingle. I laugh softly and crawl over him on the bed until Iâm on the opposite side of him and wrap my arms around his back. He turns around and adjust the two of us so my head is resting on his chest as we normally do. âIâm playing Petey, I think your clumsiness is endearingâ I assure him, playing with his hair.
Peter smiles, still blushing, and tilts his head down to kiss my forehead. I scoot my way up until Iâm more at eye level with him and kiss his nose. He breaks out into a huge grin and gives me a soft kiss on the lips before he pulls back and lets his warm eyes trail all over my face. I blush and bite my lip nervously. âY/N, you know how much I love you right?â he whispers, stroking his right hand across my cheek. I instantly break out into an embarrassingly large smile. This is the first time weâve said those words. I nod and give him a soft yet clingy kiss, âI love you too Peterâ. Peterâs face forms an even bigger smile than he had already and he shuffles until we are laying next to each other, face to face this time, with his arms around me.
âThank God, I was worried it was too soon to say that. But, Iâve been wanting to for awhile. I just didnât want to rush things, or pressure you, or-. Iâm just glad that youâre okay with it because if not, I-â Peter rambles, playing with my curls. I shake my head and kiss him to stop his worries from racing. I feel him smile into the kiss and pull me closer. I place one hand on the back of his soft curls, pulling him closer still, my other hand falling to rest on his chest between us inadvertently.
âMmm, I shouldâve let you see me shirtless a long time agoâ he jokes as we pull back. I laugh and blush, âthis isnât about your abs Peter. I love you. Theyâre a nice touch, a really nice touch, but Iâd love you abs or no absâ I admit. He blushes and tucks some of my messy hair behind my ear as he kisses my cheek, âgood, Iâm glad. But Iâll be sure to thank the spider that bit me stillâ.
Iâm sure I must look like a deer in headlights or an owl due to how big my eyes just got. âThis,â I say, my hand tracing over the hills and valleys made from his 6 8 -fitting given a Spider has 8 legs- pack, âis from a freaking spider?! You didnât have to workout at all?!â Peter laughs super loudly and he lifts his free hand to cover his mouth in an attempt to stop. âNo love, like I said I didnât waste time that I have set aside to be spent holding youâ he says, trying to pull me closer to him again. However, I keep a firm hand on his chest as Iâm still in shock at how a freaking spider caused that.
âWait, you legitimately set aside time?â I ask, momentarily distracted from his stunning muscles as I notice the repeated verbiage he used. He blushes and bites his lip as he nods, âof course. I want to make sure I have at least a few hours with you each night so I mentally mark off a scheduleâ. âFor,â I say, taking a deep breath as I try to slow my rapidly beating heart, âme?!â. He squints his eyes at me and nods again, âyes for you. Always for you. Why is that so surprising?â.
âPeter, you go around saving people everyday and Iâm just one random person. Yet you intentionally make sure thereâs time for me?â I ask, still stunned. He frowns and looks at me like he hates what I just said. âY/N,â he says, sitting up and gently directing me to follow suit, âyouâre not some random person. Not to me.â. I smile and snuggle into his side, resting my head on his shoulder. He hums and presses his soft lips to my ear, whispering, âyouâre my world. I need you to know thatâ before kissing my ear.
I feel tears well up in my eyes and I squeeze them shut in hopes to not let them fall, but a few leak out due to the pressure from squeezing them shut. Peter notices and tilts my head up so he can clear them off my face. âYouâre my everything too, handsomeâ I tell him, opening my eyes so I can see him. Peter presses his lips together in a tight line but his dimples expose the huge smile heâs trying to suppress. âIt doesnât make it fair thoughâ I say, poking his chest. He laughs, âwhat?â.
âYour metabolism was already really high, but now you donât even have to exercise! You can eat whatever, not workout, and still look like some Greek God? Thatâs not fairâ I pout. Peterâs face reddens again and he laughs, âI donât know about Greek Gods but I assure you, Thor is much strongerâ. I shake my head and laugh. âBesides, you-â he says, tickling my sides and causing me to laugh breathlessly as I squirm on the bed until Iâm laying down again. â-are so insanely beautiful. That is what not fair.â he finishes, laying next to me and giving me a kiss.
Countless kisses and shared compliments later, Peter and I are cuddling on his bed while talking about what happened on his patrol tonight. I smile up at him as he tells me all these details about the last call he worked. He yawns part of the way through explaining how this old woman tried to offer him cookies after he webbed up the guy who took her bag. I smile and kiss his cheek, âyou should get some sleep, youâve had a busy nightâ. Peter frowns but nods, âI will swing you homeâ . I want to tell him no as I know heâs tired but I also know Peter well enough to know he wonât accept that. I thank him and nod as I get up so that he can get back into his suit to hide his identity as he brings me home.

âParker gets to sit out of this one, right?â I hear an obnoxiously enthusiastic voice ask as MJ and I get ready for the next part of the physical fitness test the school is having us take in the main gymnasium. I raise my eyebrows and look around for who said it. I could tell it was one of the guys, all of whom are on the far side of the gym due to the teacherâs orders.
âShut up Flash, Peterâs strong and he can probably do more sit-ups than you canâ Ned shouts. Flash, I shouldâve known. God I hate that narcissistic pain in the- âParker?! Yeah rightâ Flash laughs. I glare over to where they are at on the other side of the gym. Peter is already on his back, having been ready to start the last portion of the test, and Ned is at his feet to stabilize him. Ned is glaring at Flash who is smirking down at Peter instead of minding his own damn business and taking his test. I begin to get up off my mat to walk over to them, determined to tell Flash off.
MJ sighs and gently pushes me down when Iâm halfway off the mat. âOw, what was that for?â I ask as my butt hits the mat, my eyes just starting to move from the scene with Flash to look at her; but not before I notice Peter whip his head around to look over at us. He must have heard me talking to MJ. He usually tries not to let his enhanced hearing let him hear other peopleâs conversations; but he always picks up on key phrases and the ow I muttered must have caused it this time. âDonât get involvedâ MJ says, shaking her head. âWhy not?â I ask, annoyed. âHe and Ned have it under control. Youâll just get more attention on the issueâ she says as she points around the wide gym. I notice that while not everyone is, a lot of students are staring over at Peter and Flash.
I look over at Peter, hoping for a nonverbal cue as to whether he wants me to do something or not. It sadly isnât the first time Flash has picked on Peter and normally he can handle himself but heâs never one to brag or to be rude back to Flash. When his normal attempts to ignore him or get him to leave him alone donât work, he usually lets me know if I can step in. It has always been a lot easier for Peter and I to stand up for each other or someone else than it is to stand up for ourselves. I just wish his being bullied stopped in middle school for Peter like mine did, rather than following us into high school.
Peter notices me looking at him and gives me a soft smile before he mouths Iâm okay. I sigh and nod, glancing over at Flash to glare at him again. Why canât he just leave Peter alone? The irony of the whole thing is that Flash is obsessed with Spider-Man. Yet, he bullies my boyfriend on a nearly daily basis and I hate it.
Peter is far too good for this world and anyone trying to tear him down makes me so mad I swear I could rip them apart. More than nine times out of 10 thatâs directed at Flash. Granted, Iâd need Peterâs super strength to do it, but still. Peter always says he knows my heart well enough to know Iâd never actually do it but that he can sense how angry it makes me so he doesnât want me to get involved in most cases.
âJust go away Flashâ Ned says and I subconsciously nod my head in agreement. Out of the corner of my eye I see Peter smile and realize he must still be keeping his eyes on me. I blush and adjust how Iâm seated to a more flattering position instead of the weird one I was in. âEnough boysâ our health teacher says, finally interfering. I groan, âboys? What did Ned and Peter do? It was all Flashâ. âExcuse me Ms. Y/L/N?â the health teacher asks causing me to gulp. âIâm sorry I didnât mean to say that out loud!â I admit, blushing like mad and covering my mouth with my hand as I feel everyoneâs eyes turn to me now.
âI just asked a simple question Y/Nâ Flash says and while my eyes had been on the teacher still, the audible smirk he has causes me to turn around to look at him. I notice Peter shakes his head and tries to get my attention as my eyes pass him on their way to Flash. âIf looks could killâ MJ mutters under her breath but it doesnât stop me from glaring at Flash.
I take several deep breaths to calm down as I know Peter doesnât want me involved in this one. âNo, Mr. Parker will not be skipping this part Mr. Thompsonâ the health teacher says as he grabs his timer. I smirk and turn back to MJ who just smiles and laughs softly, âgod you and Peter. Someone says something about him and you are ready to strike. Someone says something about you and heâs ready to strike. Feralâ. I glare at her playfully before we both laugh.
âWhatâs so funny Y/N?â Flash asks across the room, causing us both to stop laughing and look towards him. âNot everything is about you Flashâ I blurt before I stop myself. âThatâs enough everyoneâ the teacher says, but itâs too late, Peter is standing up and facing towards Flash in an instant. âLeave her aloneâ he growls, trying to keep his voice low as to not draw more attention. As if they werenât all already watching this unfold.
âSeeâ MJ whispers. I give her a quick glance out of the corner of my eye and she smirks before looking down. I focus back on Peter and try to decide if I should interfere or not. I donât want to overstep but this seems to be my fault at this point.
âCome on Parker, no need to be like that!â Flash smirks and the teacher tries to interrupt but it is off the rails at this point as no one is listening to him. Peter shakes his head, âjust leave her out of this Flash. This is between you and me, not Y/Nâ. I stand up before MJ can stop me again and begin to make my way towards them.
âHey, Iâve got nothing against Y/N. No need to get all defensive over your girlfriend Parkerâ Flash laughs. âYou want to know why?â He asks. Peter glares at him and clenches his jaw and his fists, knowing he wonât like whatever is about to come out of Flashâs loathsome mouth. I pick up my pace but continue to try to avoid stepping on people who may still be on their mats.
âWhy?â Ned asks, causing both me and Peter to quickly look over at him in shock. He clamps his hand over his mouth, similar to what I did before. âInstinctive responseâ he mutters apologetically, his voice closer to a whisper but still loud enough that I can hear him despite not being next to them yet.
âTwo reasonsâ Flash laughs, ignoring Ned, and causing everyone to turn their attention back to him. Does he ever shut up? âOne, there is nothing you could do anyways because youâre far too scrawny and weak toâ he smirks. I clench my teeth together and curse to myself as I nearly miss a girlâs hands but nevertheless speed up.
âTwo, defending her doesnât change the fact that youâre not good enough for her Parkerâ he laughs. My mouth drops open in shock as I finally near them. Did he actually just say that?! Peter drops his defenses and unclenches his fists and jaw as he looks down. It almost looks like heâs accepting defeat and believes the blatant lie Flash just said. Oh my god, does he?! The amount of anger I felt was already high but that just caused it to skyrocket.
âShut the hell up Flash!â I yell, rushing the rest of the way over, no longer caring who may be in the way. I stand in front of him, my eyes piercing into his. Flashâs eyes widen while his smirk and laughter disappear in an instant. Peter whispers a barely audible âY/N, you donât need toâ. The crack in his voice instantly breaks my heart in two and any minuscule care I had left to keep my calm is gone. âMs. Y/L/N, watch your language or youâll end up in detention after schoolâ the teacher says.
I turn briefly to face our health teacher, still seething at the events taking place. âGo ahead! This is the most ludicrous situation ever! Youâre standing there not doing a damn thing about Flash bullying Peter. Maybe Flashâs parents paid you off or something, I donât know but you disgust meâ I say before turning back to Flash.
âAnd youâ I begin, shooting daggers at Flash with my eyes as I face him again. âAre the most vile person. Iâm not sure why you have it out for Peter. Maybe itâs your understandable jealousy. Maybe itâs something else. I donât fucking care. Nothing you have said about him has ever been remotely trueâ I say, crossing my arms. I notice the teacher say something but my brain canât focus on it. âEspecially not todayâ I say, glancing at Peter softly, worried heâs still believing what Flash said about not being good enough for me. Heâs frozen in place, still looking at his feet but not frowning as much.
âPeter is attentive, loving, kindhearted, charitable, intelligent, a great listener, charming, brave, and inspiring. He is all around a far more heavenly beautiful person than anyone Iâve met, especially you, both inside and outâ I say, turning around to grasp Peterâs hand. Peter has already looked up from the ground and is now staring at me with watery eyes, red cheeks, and a beaming smile on his face. I smile back and grab his hand in mine and whisper âI love youâ. Before Peter can respond, Flash decides itâs not over yet.
âYeah, yeah, whatever. Youâre just covering up for the fact that he has no musclesâ Flash says but I can hear his frustration in his voice. Finally something got to him the way he gets to Peter. Peter simply rolls his eyes, clearly over the situation. âDid you not listen? I just said inside and out. I can personally attest that seeing his abs would have your jaw hitting the floorâ I smirk, glaring over my shoulder at him before focusing back on Peter.
Peter laughs softly and squeezes my hand in his as his blush worsens, but he doesnât seem to mind. An unanimous âOoooooohâ and other gasps ring out from the students. I smile and give Peter a quick kiss before tugging on his hand as I begin to walk to the exit with him. âMs. Y/L/N! Where do you think youâre going?â The Heath teacher yells out, causing the whole class to cease their verbal reactions. Peter gives me a sympathetic look, signaling he feels bad for the situation. I roll my eyes to show him Iâm not mad at him, and donât even bother turning around. Instead, I resume our exit hand in hand, as I answer âby now class is over, so Spanish. After that, I presume detentionâ.
