uhh. so. i feel incredibly perceived and weirdly busted. hi arvind? donât judge me? i just kind of really like your show?
this is⊠strangely accurate
If youâre up for prompts, maybe something where Martin comforts both Amanda and Vogel after he finds out about Vogelâs broken fingers? You just /know/ theyâd both feel awful over thatâVogel because he didnât keep his brotherâs girlfriend away from Priest, and vice-versa for Amandaâand Martin would listen to two of the people he cares about most talking like that and justââcome âere, both of ya.â Drummerwolf has been a thing since season one, so thereâs a bit of romance sprinkled in there.
iâve written shamefully little about the rowdies as more than supporting characters in my other fics so iâm a little shaky on my feet when it comes to more extensive character inspection with them - compared to team jacket and amanda anyway - so if this is more ooc than usual iâm really very sorry. i tried! hopefully iâll get a little more confident as i write more! (which is why i chose this prompt today as opposed to the ones that felt a lot more natural for me - challenge!)
also iâm not sure how well i did with the âsprinkle of romanceâ in this particular setting. itâs a pretty light sprinkle, but itâs there.
this is a pretty short one but i hope it does the job!
~
Amanda smiled fondly as she watched three of the rowdies excitedly jumping around with the Wendimoorians, occasionally stopping for group hugs and enthusiastic pats and punches on each othersâ shoulders.
âGood to have the whole gang back together, huh?â Said Martin as he nudged Amandaâs shoulder.
Amanda turned to flash him a smile. âSure is.â She replied and leaned her head on Martinâs shoulder.
They both watched the happy display in front of them until something caught Martinâs eye.
âWhat happened to the kidâs hand?â He asked, having noticed Vogel subconsciously protecting one of his hands from all the shoving and hugging.
Amandaâs smile turned into a frown. âThat guy. Vogel called him Priest or something?â She said and lifted her head to look Martin in the eye.
Martinâs expression hardened visibly, the recognition of the name clear in his eyes.
Amanda nodded slowly. âYeah. I figured youâd know who that is.â
âIâve had the displeasure of meeting it, yeah.â Martin practically growled.
âI got the sense heâs a dick. And that was before he, you know... Tried to kill us and shit.â Amanda commented.
âSounds like Priest.â Martin remarked. âHe messed up Vogelâs hand?â He asked.
Amanda averted her eyes. âYeah.â She replied.
Martin narrowed his eyes. âWhatâya not saying, drummer?â He asked.
Amanda swallowed and took a deep breath. âItâs my fault.â She finally said.
Martin turned so that he was now facing Amanda fully. âHowâd you figure that?â
Amanda blew out a breath. âIâm the one that said we needed to go to Bergsberg. Iâm the one that had a feeling that something was wrong. I knew in my gut that the van was a trap, but I still couldnât stop him from running out there. For two months, all Vogel did was follow me wherever I said we needed to go. He did everything I asked of him and helped me in any way I needed. And I led him straight into a trap.â Amanda explained in a quiet voice.
Martin was just about to speak when they heard a third voice chime in.
âThatâs dumb, dog.â Vogel said, having appeared next to the duo during Amandaâs speech.
âNo, itâs not, Vogel.â Amanda sighed. âItâs true. And I feel like shit about it.â
âWell donât!â Vogel screamed. âIt was me, Iâm the dumb one!â
Amanda furrowed her brows. âWhat do you mean, Vogel?â
âMan, come on! We survived two months of running from that place and the piggies who were after us! But then I was still dumb enough to not see a trap! Thatâs dumb shit 101!â Vogel explained loudly.
Amanda shook her head. âVogel, thatâs not dumb. You were just happy at the possibility of seeing the guys again. Anyone would do that.â She reassured him.
âYou didnât!â Vogel screamed. âYou knew! Cause youâre smart, boss! Not like me!â
âYeah, Vogel, I knew. And I still let you run off. If anything that makes me more dumb.â Amanda explained.
âNot much can stop me when I get going, you know that, boss.â Vogel said. âBut I dragged you out there too. You were in danger because of me. And not the induce-visions, jump-under-a-train danger. Real one. Priest danger. Thatâs a bad danger. Really bad. And I know that. Martin knows too. Iâm sorry, man, I dragged her right to Priest.â Vogel said, the last sentence clearly directed at Martin.
Before Martin could chime in, Amanda rushed to reply. âNo, Vogel, thatâs not your fault! Thatâs his fault. And even if youâre headed to hell itself Iâm gonna follow right behind to keep an eye on you. Thatâs not up to you, itâs just something thatâs gonna happen.â She explained.
Vogel smiled a little. âIâm still sorry, boss.â
âNo, Iâm sorry. It was all my doing.â Amanda replied.
Vogel groaned. âNo it wasnât! Why-â
Then Martin cleared his throat. âIf I may?â
Amanda and Vogel quieted down and turned their attention towards Martin.
âYa both are being dumb.â Martin said.
âGee, thanks for the input.â Amanda huffed.
âListen to me, drummer.â Martin said. âYou two were doinâ everything you could to stay safe and get back to the rest of us. And ya did. Mission accomplished.â He reasoned.
âYeah, but-â Amanda began.
âNo buts.â Martin interrupted.
Vogel laughed. âButts.â
Martin smiled at him. Then he continued. âDrummer, you did not put the kid in danger. Thatâs all on Priest. Everythinâ is on Priest. All you were doing was trying to find a way for you two to get back to us. And kid, you know what Priest is capable of. If he found you and wanted to hurt you, there ainât no stopping him. You didnât put âManda in any more danger than ya both already were in. You leaving the room didnât change nothing. He wouldâve come through the damn wall.â
Vogel nodded sadly. âHeâs scary as shit, man.â
âI know, kid. But hey, you took him on and came out on the other side. Not a lot of folk can say that.â Martin said.
Vogel brightened. âYeah... Yeah! Priest ainât got nothing on me!â He screamed. The other rowdies and their Wendimoorian friends cheered.
Amanda laughed. âHell yeah, dude!â
Martin smiled too. âCan we agree that you two ainât to blame and Priest is vermin?â
Amanda and Vogel shared a look.
âOkay.â Said Vogel.
âOkay.â Agreed Amanda.
âGood.â Martin said and then opened his arms. âNow câmere, both of ya.â
Vogel and Amanda both happily scooched closer to Martin and wrapped their arms around him.
Martin briefly placed his head atop Vogelâs before moving away again. âYou smell, kid.â
âYou smell!â Vogel shot back.
Amanda laughed. âWe came in through a lake. Iâm pretty confident he hasnât changed or washed since then.â
Martin hummed, seemingly unsurprised by this information.
Amanda looked up at Martin and smiled. Martin bent down to place a soft kiss on the crown of her head, which only made Amanda smile wider.
âGross.â Vogel remarked.
âFuck off.â Amanda replied.
âGood to have the whole gang back together, huh?â Martin laughed.

if you have any ideas for fics, send me prompts! my inbox is always open! x
I didn't know I needed this until now. Prompt idea: Dirk meets Todd's parents who just assume Dirk is his boyfriend, and for fun Dirk plays along while Todd is clueless
i decided this prompt would work with a christmas setting, so here we are! iâm back!
i tweaked the prompt just slightly by making dirk âplay alongâ unknowingly, so without realizing what toddâs parents are implying. the result however is the same mortifying ordeal for todd, amusement for everyone else and fluffy set up for the next step in dirk and toddâs relationship! i hope thatâs alright!
possible tw: alcohol and some swear words.
merry christmas yâall! x

âAre you absolutely certain itâs alright for me to tag along?â Dirk asked, for maybe the 18th time that day.
âFor the last time, Dirk, my parents were the ones to invite you themselves. I know you donât know them yet, but let me tell you, my parents are the kind of people who wonât do something they donât actually want to. So yes, Dirk, Iâm absolutely certain youâre welcome to spend Christmas with me and my family this year. Now please, stop asking.â Todd explained, for what he hoped would be the last time. He kept his eyes on the road as he drove - much to Dirkâs dismay who wanted to be the one behind the wheel himself, which Todd refused to let happen, insisting that he wanted to live to see the new year - but he could practically feel Dirk furrow his brow in deep thought.
âAs long as youâre sure.â Dirk finally mumbled his reply.
Todd resisted the urge to roll his eyes. âIâm sure.â He said instead.
Dirk was uncharacteristically quiet on the drive over to Toddâs parentsâ house, a fact which would normally demand all of Toddâs attention, but he was currently too nervous himself to be of much comfort to his friend. The last time Todd had seen his parents was when he told them everything. The faked pararibulitis, the real reason for him dropping out of college, the screwing his band over, the money⊠They had, of course, been very upset and hurt, but ultimately willing to forgive Todd. They just asked for some time, which Todd happily gave them.
That had been four months ago. Todd had talked to his parents in the meantime, on the phone and via email, but he had yet to actually spend time with them, face to face. His mother had assured him that she and Toddâs father had moved on and forgiven him. And Todd believed them. But he also knew they would like to talk about it. As soon as his parents had expressed their need for some time to think, Todd had taken the opportunity to escape the uncomfortable situation. Four months ago.
It was one thing to hash things out over email or even on the phone, but another to do so face to face. While his parentsâ gesture to invite Toddâs eccentric colleague/best friend along had been made to assure Dirk didnât have to spend Christmas alone, Toddâs relief of being able to take Dirk with him had been partly selfish. Dirk was his buffer. Any time he felt too uncomfortable, he could just use Dirk as a distraction. That, and Dirk provided Todd with comfort and support he desperately needed, a fact he was a little less willing to admit, even to himself.
Too soon for both of the men, they had arrived at Toddâs parentsâ house. Todd took a deep breath after putting the car safely in park. âReady?â He asked the man next to him.
âNo.â Came Dirkâs reply.
âYeah, me neither.â Todd sighed. âLetâs go.â

Hi! I just wanted to say that I love your fics, theyâre absolutely amazing. Anyway... bit of an odd request but can I get an angsty fic where Dirk realizes heâs in love with Todd? (and proceeds to do nothing about it) The amount that I kin Dirk might be a little concerning, and the amount that I associate my best friend of four years with Todd (and they agree) might be a bit concerning. Especially since I just figured out... whoops, Iâm in love with them! (and let me tell you it HURTS) Iâm almost 100% sure feel the same theyâre just not at an emotionally stable point for me to tell them. (you know, much like Todd) So I know it seems a bit silly and weird, but I think it might help me cope a bit to see Dirk in a similar situation, feel less alone
hi anon! iâm sorry youâre stuck in such a complicated situation. i hope it all works out in the end. i can definitely relate to dealing with things by reading about a similar experiences and relating to fictional characters a little too hard. just remember that what youâre feeling is valid and no pain is permanent. x
i hope this does the trick!
~
The tv screen flickered between a diverse selection of images, the sound cutting off well before a full phrase could be heard.
âI regret the day I taught you how to use the remote.â Todd told his friend from the kitchen.
âWhat on earth for?â Dirk absent-mindedly replied while switching the channel, yet again. He had already kicked off his shoes and was now comfortably lounging on Toddâs couch.
Todd rolled his eyes. âDefinitely not because you switch the channel about 187 times a minute.â He replied.
Dirk scoffed. âPoppycock.â
âGod, youâre so British.â Todd murmured. âJust pick a channel, Dirk.â He added, louder.
âFine!â Dirk said and lifted his finger off the button. âThereâs some sort of apocalypse film on, we can watch that?â He added after he registered the image of a large fire on the screen.
Todd poked his head out of the kitchen long enough to see the screen. âHate to break it to you, Dirk, but thatâs the news.â He said.
Dirkâs eyes widened. âBloody hell!â He exclaimed.
âYeah, the worldâs going to shit. Pick something else.â Todd told him.
âYou just told me to stop changing the ch-â
âJust pick something other than the news, Dirk, Jesus.â Todd interrupted.
Finally after a few more channel jumps, Dirk settled on a rerun episode of Friends.
Soon, Todd sat down next to him on the couch and handed him a cup. âHere.â
Dirk furrowed his brows. âWhatâs this?â He asked.
âYour tea.â Todd said, already focusing on the tv.
âYou made me tea?â Dirk asked.
hi i love all you're prompt fills! everytime i read them they brighten my day. could you write one where dirk wakes up in the hospital in season 1 and assumes he's back in blackwing?
hi! thank you so much, it makes me very happy to hear that! i hope this one lives up to the expectation too! x
oh and happy new year everyone!
needless to say, this oneâs got me back on my regular angst train. all aboard!
possible tw: anxiety/discussion of panic attacks + descriptions of physical pain
~
Dirk had been woken up in many unpleasant ways during the course of his life, but this throbbing in his shoulder was new. It started off as a part of his dream, Dirkâs focus suddenly directed at the pain in his shoulder right as the Queen was about to knight him as a thank you for his heroic work. Eventually the pain became strong enough to wake him and he realized it wasnât a dream, but a very real, very painful wound.
Before Dirk even got his eyes open, he was already swearing up a storm because of the pain in his shoulder. His colorful stream of cuss words was cut off as soon as he finally got his eyes open.
He was in what seemed to be a hospital room. Only problem was, he couldnât for the life of him remember why. Unlike the intense pain in his shoulder, the steady beeping of the machine attached to him and the smell of chemicals was very much familiar to Dirk. Waking up in the hospital wing of Blackwing was a regular occurrence during his childhood.
As soon as the familiar beeping and smell registered in Dirkâs mind, his breath hitched. Of course. It made sense. The fresh wound, the gap in his memory, the hospital room?
It was Blackwing.
He was back.
you might have noticed that i posted another prompt fill!
this one, however, came out pretty long, so if you donât feel like reading it on tumblr, hereâs the link to the fic on ao3.
as it came out so long, i also decided to make it a story of its own on my ao3, instead of a chapter in my prompt fill collection like the previous ones. plus itâs christmas and i made the fic christmas themed so... there ya go, itâs own occasion
