Ballot Brouhaha: How Basic Voting Rules Became 'Evidence' of Fraud
When social media magnates and election skeptics scrutinized New York City's ballots, they mistook voting laws for conspiracyâand exposed a dangerous pattern of disinformation.
On November 4, 2025, as New Yorkers lined up to vote in their mayoral election, billionaire X owner Elon Musk took to his platform with an alarming declaration: "The New York City ballot form is a scam!" He pointed to candidates appearing twice on ballots and former Governor Andrew Cuomo's placement at the bottom as undeniable proof of election rigging.
It sounded convincing to his millions of followers. But it wasn't trueânot in any meaningful way.
What Musk called fraud was actually New York's legal "fusion voting" systemâwhere candidates can appear under multiple party lines. Zohran Mamdani (Democrat/Working Families) and Curtis Sliwa (Republican/"Protect Animals") both appeared twice legally.
Cuomo's bottom placement followed standard ballot ordering rules for independent parties. Experts called the claims easily verifiable misinformation.
When routine election procedures are recast as conspiracies, our democratic foundation erodesânot from hypothetical fraud, but from deliberate misinterpretation by powerful voices.

âHoney, letâs go vote for leaving the EU, punishing homosexuals, a total abortion ban, abolishing most taxes, banning divorce, and replacing the legal code with religion.â
Sounds absurd? And yet, over 20% of voters in yesterdayâs Polish presidential election supported exactly those kinds of views.
Two far-right candidates â together, they won one fifth of the Polish vote. Add to that nearly 30% for the candidate of a party that spent the last eight years dismantling democracy, humiliating us on the international stage, and tearing apart the social fabric of this country.
But the worst part? Over 30% of citizens didnât vote at all. After all the years of fighting for freedom and democracy, after decades of building a sovereign, European Poland â over 10 million people chose to stay home.
This isnât just about political preferences anymore. Itâs about fundamental values. About whether Poland will be a country thatâs open and safe for everyone â or whether weâre about to rewind history by decades.
Iâm ashamed. Iâm heartbroken. And for the first time, Iâm seriously wondering whether this place is still my home.
Letâs hope the second round brings people back to their senses. This might be our last wake-up call.
Although the example of the United States shows that itâs not always possible.
Iâm writing in support of the âNo Kings Act,â introduced by Leader Schumer in August. This bill would reassert Congressâs constitutional authority and curb the judiciaryâs unchecked power.
The "No Kings Act" addresses several key issues:
Congressional Authority Under Article III: The No Kings Act uses Congressâs constitutional authority under Article III to set "Exceptions" and "Regulations" to the Supreme Court's appellate jurisdiction. This power has been historically recognized as an important tool to limit the Court's reach, particularly when it comes to cases that could undermine democratic governance.
Neutralizing the Trump v. United States Decision: Leader Schumerâs legislation aims to counteract the Supreme Courtâs decision granting former President Trumpâand all presidentsâimmunity from prosecution for official acts. By removing lower courts' jurisdiction over presidential immunity and removing the Supreme Courtâs appellate authority in this context, the No Kings Act asserts Congressâs constitutional role in preserving the rule of law and ensuring accountability at the highest levels.
Legal Safeguards: The bill also limits the Supreme Court's ability to review the bill's constitutionality, thereby reinforcing Congressâs role in determining the boundaries of judicial authority. This is not only a constitutionally justified action but also a necessary measure to protect democratic norms from judicial overreach.
If we donât set limits on the power of a sitting president, or on our out-of-control Supreme Court, our democracy will sufferâgreatly. Please support the No Kings Act. Thanks.

đ Nearly 8 in 10 Americans support voter ID. That includes strong majorities of Democrats. Yet Washington elites call it âsuppression.â The SAVE Act offers multiple ID options â passport, military ID, driverâs license. Hardly a ânightmare.â

đĢ Prohibit Felons From Serving as President

I am deeply concerned about the possibility of felons serving as President of the United States. While our Constitution doesn't explicitly bar felons from running, I believe the presidency, as a symbol of moral leadership, should be beyond reproach. A felon in this role could erode justice and public trust, setting a dangerous precedent.
Although federal law allows felons to run, state laws often restrict felons' civic rightsâraising questions about fairness and consistency in legal application. From a security standpoint, the risks of entrusting someone with a criminal history with nuclear codes or military decisions are considerable.
We must consider a constitutional amendment to close this gap and preserve the integrity of our highest office.
