Making History
Lily had only been minister for two months, but she was already being revered as one of the best ministers since the 1800ā²s. Her first week into office, she passed an education bill that made it mandatory for all students to have muggle studies their first three years of school. A month later, she got 3,000 signatures on her petition to review the Wizengamot for corruption. Of course, she had opposition, but Lily wouldnāt let it bother her. She had to make the world better for her children.Ā
Tonight was the Annual Ministry Christmas Ball. Traditionally held in the ministerās house. Not their personal home, that is, the house provided by the magical government for the minister and their family to live during their term. Lily, however, disliked the huge estate and when she could stayed in Godricās Hollow. Unfortunately, the ball had to be held somewhere and Lily wasnāt about to open her house to the entire magical government.
Pinning her hair in place, she spun around to check on James, Harry, and Marie.Ā āAre you all ready? Are your bags packed for staying over? Anyone need help tucking in shirts or curling hair?āĀ
She was so anxious. Despite her victories in the position, Lily wanted to impress the rest of the ministry. If she couldnāt host a proper ball, how could she run a country?Ā
