Lily had only been minister for two months, but she was already being revered as one of the best ministers since the 1800′s. Her first week into office, she passed an education bill that made it mandatory for all students to have muggle studies their first three years of school. A month later, she got 3,000 signatures on her petition to review the Wizengamot for corruption. Of course, she had opposition, but Lily wouldn’t let it bother her. She had to make the world better for her children. 

Tonight was the Annual Ministry Christmas Ball. Traditionally held in the minister’s house. Not their personal home, that is, the house provided by the magical government for the minister and their family to live during their term. Lily, however, disliked the huge estate and when she could stayed in Godric’s Hollow. Unfortunately, the ball had to be held somewhere and Lily wasn’t about to open her house to the entire magical government.

Pinning her hair in place, she spun around to check on James, Harry, and Marie. “Are you all ready? Are your bags packed for staying over? Anyone need help tucking in shirts or curling hair?” 

She was so anxious. Despite her victories in the position, Lily wanted to impress the rest of the ministry. If she couldn’t host a proper ball, how could she run a country? 

When Lily got his letter, she pulled on her robe (it was cold in the common room!) and ran down the stairs, hoping he wouldn’t notice the puffiness in her eyes. It was so stupid, honestly. Benjy had NEWT’s to work on and Head stuff, and Gobb Stones stuff. They both knew how busy they were and yet she thought he was ignoring her. For no reason. 

    Due the following days, Marlene and James didn’t really speak with each other, like they were just normal house mates who happened to be cousins. It was more because Marlene didn’t want to talk with pretty much anyone, not just because they had a fight . And the other night was full moon. Which, as wished, she spent alone ; thinking.

   Entering in the Great Hall, she made her way to the Gryffindor table ; her hands were shaking - her whole body was shaking. She spotted James and didn’t hesitate to sat next to him, trying to control her shaking. She already took care of her red puffy eyes, this shouldn’t be a problem. “ I am sorry. “  she conffesed turning to face him and holding her own hands in order to stay calm. “ For being... mean and a pain in the ass. “

Today was the day. The day the Evans and the Potter family would become one, the day Lily would marry her true love, and the day Severus would give her away. She lost her father only a month ago, but she knew he’d be pleased with her choice to have Severus walk her down the aisle. Her mother would have done it, but Lily knew she wouldn’t feel right or be able to get through it without breaking down-and not from joy. So, Severus it was. 

Her dress was long with a train in the back, the neckline in the shape of a V, and the bodice fitting her torso perfectly before flaring out just at her ribs. Her hair was done up so half of it was pulled away from her face with white gems dotting along the braid leading to her veil. The rest of her hair was curled and cascading down her back in perfect ringlets. Lily felt like a princess and she certainly looked like one. 

At the “knock knock” on her door, she beamed and raced over to open it. Severus. Did that mean...? “Is it time?” 

It’s…nothing. She was just being really vague and pestering me about…about something. 

I don’t knowww. I only have GTW, and I love ittt!!

 Marlene changed into her Quidittch uniform and got out of the dorm without blinking, getting out of the common room. Running down the stairs towards the Quidditch field as fast as she could. James will actually kill her if she is goig to be late again.

She run even faster when she saw the field and stopped right next to him, taking a big breath of air before speaking.“ Please do not yell! Filch held me longer than I thought! “ she said as quickly as she could making sure he won’t yell too much at her. 

“ Why are you looking at me like that? “ she asked confused, but then sighed deeply. “ I forgot my broom, didn’t I? “
