Artist Beware: rachverity
Here’s my own personal beware on rachverity on FA! I DID end up getting my refund today, after much back and forth. At the start, I paid $30 for this YCH: (NSFW warning) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/20296740/ That was about 2 months ago, almost 3. I normally dont have a problem with waiting that long at all. But I read their TOS and saw some shady things. Then tried checking their trello…which is posted on their page. I noticed it wasnt up to date AT all. SO I had no way of knowing who was ahead of me, where I was, the progress, or anything. At this point I was already getting concerned with them. I saw her upload something(since deleted) that promised the turn around time as being a month. But the only way to get her to look at notes, was by leaving a comment on her page publicly. So then Saturday I believe, I sent this note: http://sta.sh/07zg3vsgye3 With my understanding she hadnt done anything with the YCH yet. So she was going to give me //something// by today. Well. In the meantime, I found 6 Artist bewares on her on live journal. Now, I was already nervous about commissioning her to begin with. She had been promising the commission, and with her TOS I was nervous about getting my commission revoked if I asked too often. http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/tag/artist-rachverity Those Artist Bewares, all say roughly the same thing that’s been going on with my situation. But I highly advise people to be cautious in the future.
