Some time ago, Salesforce.com acquired Manymoon, a web based project management app. At the time, I wondered what they planned to do with it. I’m the last few months, this question has been answered with the emergence ofDo.com.

Do.com was released to public beta a few months ago looking very slick and usable. It also already had slick iPhone app.

Since then, they have implemented a number of new features which has resulted in Do.com becoming a real contender in the crowded collaborative Task Management arena. 

The first thing to note is that Do.com is completely free! No limitations and as many users as you want. Absolutely no catches at all.

You are able to create as many Groups as you require. A group is almost like a workspace each of which might have different collaborators. So, for example, you could have a Group for your business with all your team members as part of that group and then a separate one that you only have access to for your Personal task management. 

When you login, you will see your groups on the left hand side and then three options under each group, Tasks, Projects and Notes. 

The Key features that Do.com boasts are as follows:

Tasks with due dates and time due (with notifications).

The ability to define which users have access to each project

Assignment of tasks to other team members

Google Drive integration

Attach files to your tasks

Comment on tasks including @ mentions

The notes section allows you to create tasks from a note by highlighting the appropriate text and clicking “Create Task”. The note is then attached to the created task

iPhone app and the web interface works perfectly on iPad. I believe they may be planning an Android app but don’t quote me on this. :)

There have been a number of new features that have been implemented over the last few months and it will be interesting to see what they have planned in the future.
