Those familiar with Tarot may be aware that the Major Arcana are often said to represent the steps we take through the journey of life. The cards represent different stages of this journey and the one which most strongly resonates with your current position can offer you guidance for how to move forward. We may pass through these stages several times throughout the course of our lives.
Major Arcana 0: The Fool The Fool represents a soul that stands at a crossroads. They may choose to embrace the path before them, or turn their backs and reject the opportunity to change. If the Fool looks closely, they may find helpful guides along the path. This is a time of opportunity and transformation. If the Fool walks the correct path all the way to the end, they will reach their full potential. But if they become negligent or abandon the path, they may wander in the wrong direction and become lost.
The Fool's Divinitory Meaning: The arrival of a new and exciting opportunity. A chance to change something in your life. A new cycle is beginning and you may feel an urge to embrace new knowledge or new ways of doing things.
The Fool Reversed: Detachment from earthly worries. Strangeness, madness or thoughtlessness.
Damien and Catilen as the Fool: In the opening chapters of Island of Lost Forevers, the apperance of a mysterious island out of thin air presents an opportunity for both to explore previously repressed aspects of themselves. For Catilen, this is her empathic abilities. For Damien, it's the hope of expanding his magical capabilities. Both are eager to embrace these changes; Damien even has his eyes open for a mentor. Unfortunately, both are also somewhat blinded by their eagerness, so they don't recognize the dangers lurking along the side of the path.
