We've come so far, no turning back now || @Neville
Hannah paused outside Neville's office, her hand poised in knocking position. She didn't know if what she was doing was right or not, not yet. She knew she had to see him to know. She had to look him in the eye and face up to everything, or she'd never be able to move forward, she'd forever be looking back. She took a deep breath and knocked once. She knew the timing of everything was terrible, wasn't sure how he'd react. But she had to know.
She'd spent the better part of two hours pacing back and forth, holding her head with her shaking hands. Everything was so screwed up. Everything was falling apart around her. She knew she'd made mistakes, and now she had to own up to them. She glanced up at the clock on the wall, the clock whose ticking had been drilling into her brain since Neville had stormed out that morning, muttering to her about talking when he returned. He would be home any minute, and she knew the second he walked through the door, she'd have to do a lot of explaining.
