Steele was annoyed. Well that was the wrong word, they were pissed and boiling with anger. They loved a good trick, while they have been on the receiving end of many since coming to the island, this one was the worse. At 18 the mimic didnât know how to property control their powers and their hunger was insatiable. Even if they were still mentally themselves their body was not listening to them. They couldnât shift and was stuck.
The note in their pocket confused them even more. Part of them wanted to go find the headmaster and demand he pay for his own crimes, but instead they want hunting, the only thing their mind and body could agree on.
They were feed on some confused when they heard a voice they was slightly familiar. Dropping the slave to the ground and wiping their face they jogged over to the fellow Zealander. âLeslie, you look young as well,â They stated. Â
Leslie turned, spotting a male presenting person... who seemed to know him. That was baffling enough. Because Leslie sure hadnât ever seen this person in his life. The only men he saw really were the visiting Fathers to the nunnery and the new local vet if something was really off about the livestock. Nevermind such an odd statement coming from the person...
âSorry... I donât know you.â It was a statement but an obviously confused one. As if Leslie himself wasnât sure. But of course he was sure, heâd never seen them. He wouldâve remembered meeting another boy around his age. It wasnât something that happened. Not to Leslie.
âAre you alright?â Leslie shoved aside the curious nature of the buildings and signs around him, unable to help but wonder why the person said âyou look young as well.â
