Flora discovered that she loved to write stories a few months after PL3. At first, writing was just a way to be less lonely after Luke moved away, but she quickly developed a deep love for it as a hobby. By the time Kat was adopted, she had written several short stories and was working on a longer book. Many of her stories were mysteries, and she’d ask Al and Kat for help whenever she got stuck with figuring out what should happen next. Sometimes they’d wind up acting as the characters, dressing up in costumes and being silly and overly dramatic. It was partly because of her stories that Al was inspired to become an investigator, and Kat to become a detective.
