Sheridan Holmes (30 years old): She studied chemistry at St Andrews, where she was a classmate of Victoria Trevor. Dropped out after two years and transferred to the bachelor of data science, where she was a classmate of Regina Musgrave. Dropped out again two years later and moved to Montague Street in London. She supported herself with several part-time jobs and gradually built a network of contacts. A year later, she enrolled in the BSc in Criminology at King's College London and solved cases from her old classmates and acquaintances in her spare time. After graduation, she became a consulting detective. At the same time, armed with a letter of recommendation from one of her former professors, Holmes secured a job as a junior lab assistant at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, where she was responsible for menial tasks. However, with her cleverness and tenacity, she quickly befriended the lab staff and eventually earned permission to use the equipment for her own experiments under supervision. As her career progressed, she needed to move to a place with a reception area for her clients, but her pride forbade her from seeking assistance from her elder sister, who worked for the government, and so she was compelled to seek a flatmate.

Jeanine H. Watson (30 years old): She completed her MBBS at UCL and obtained her GMC registration after finishing her NHS Foundation Year 1. Then she conducted her doctoral research in Neuroscience at UCL Queen Square. After she took her PhD degree, she joined Doctors Without Borders and proceeded to Brussels to go through the mandatory pre-deployment course. A year later, while on a medical mission in Aleppo, she was gravely shot during a crucial assault, and was rescued by her devoted orderly Murray who managed to get her to safety. This misfortune left her with a shattered shoulder, a leg injury that ached in bad weather, and a bout of typhoid fever that irreparably damaged her health. For months her life was despaired of, and when at last she came to herself and became convalescent, she was so weak and emaciated that a medical board determined that not a day should be lost in sending her back to England. Upon being repatriated to London on a military transport plane, she took up residence in a boutique hotel on the Strand. She had neither kith nor kin in England and was therefore as free as air. She spent the next six months recovering, a period during which she fell into a cultured but unsustainable existence, spending her family inheritance and insurance payout from her injury on theater tickets, art exhibitions and fine dining. Worse still, she would occasionally gamble. It wasn't until her funds were nearly exhausted that the harsh reality set in: the high London rent left her with no choice but to seek a flatmate. That is how, by a twist of fate, she met Holmes.

Jacqueline Moriarty (50 years old): She graduated from Oxford with a First-Class Honours BSc in Mathematics. After that, she pursued a PhD in Astrophysics at Cambridge's DAMTP. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Glasgow before securing a professorship. At the age of 40, she was dismissed due to an academic scandal. Expelled from the ivory tower, she began tutoring for the RMAS entrance exams, during which time she also honed her fighting skills and weave a complex network of contacts in military and government circles. Gradually she built a criminal empire and became a criminal mastermind working from behind the scenes, like a spider at the center of a web, plotting and directing every crime. She was hailed as Екатерина Великая преступного мира (Catherine the Great of the crime).
