Can you give me some non-spoilery info on the 100? Is it super angsty? I'm considering getting into it
Of course, my dear @prodigalqueer! So, it’s set in the future! A nuclear war has forced humanity to abandoning Earth and live in space. But life in space is not easy and their resources are every day less and less. So, what can you do? You send 100 underage delinquents on the ground, of course! Nobody really think Earth is survivable but these kids were expendable so…
They’re sent on the ground and their adventure begins! Is Earth survivable? Are they really all alone in the world, the only humans walking around? Or there’s someone else? Are they friends or foes?
I really love this show, so I could not be all that objective BUT! Here’s what I think: yes, it IS angsty. It treats serious themes like death and war and torture and guilt. But I don’t think it’s TOO angsty?
But it really depends on the person. If you’re in a space were you need positive and light shows, I don’t think I would recommend it. it’s not that it doesn’t have positive or light moments but… well, they’re wrapped in all of the above. You don’t really have time to reflect on the angsty things happening tho. There’s always so much going on!
That said, it is really addictive (okay, after the firsts ¾ episodes that may be a little slow… but after that you literally can’t stop watching it)! You’ll get attached so much to these kids! It’s one of my favorite shows (and it has one of my favorite ships) so I would love for anyone to watching it! You could give it a try and stop if you don’t think you can handle it!
