It's my own interpretation of him, my own G's backstory, and different from the original Gaster Sans by Borurou.
!! Original Gaster Sans belonged to Borurou !!
There's only bits and pieces of him right now, i wanna prepare more of him before i actually introduce himđđđ
The flowers won't be much importance in the xReader fic, but i really love flowers and i like G with flowers... so i should consider giving G with flowers more moments.
The first pic down here is a really rough sketch but it turned out to be so perfect tho i couldn't replicate its perfection. Draw it again and i dont like his skull shape so i draw it again digitally. Really serious cuz i wanna made a banner/profile for this fanfic with this piece.đđđ

G x Reader | a bit angst? a bit of suggestive talking. | 1100 words
Did he believe in destiny?
No
But after he met you
Maybe
Maybe destiny exist
Or he hoped it would
âFancy seeing you outside the barâ You said plainly after noticing the familiar face. It was such a werid sight to see him staring at the flowers in a flower shop. Colorful flowers were too contradictory to his black and gray attire, also was the bad boy vibe he had.
The melancholy on his face disappeared and was replaced with a slyly grin, his signature grin that he kept up to make people believe in his confidence.
âmaybe it's destinyâ It meant to be a joke even though he did hope it was destiny that he got to see you again, but the face you made⊠It was sorrowful. âwhy surprise, you know i can be romanticâ he changed the subject âespecially in bedâ a suggestive tone in hope to distract you, so you could stop making the expression that stinged his soul.
Your face frowned, but you said in a teasing tone âEww donât talk like that in publicâÂ
He didnât mind the teasing. Even if you show negative feelings toward him, at least itâs for him. And this kind of teasing was your and his dynamic anyway. Teasing. Thatâs what both of you came up with without discussing it directly. Itâs just mutual understanding after their second one-nightstand session. After he had begged to be your friend.
You and G, two lonely souls that were screaming for another soul. He knew his soul was reaching for you. Unfortunately, you donât know that yours is reaching for him.
You knew your soul was screaming for someone.
But you donât recognize who it is.
Even though he was right in front of you.Â
Was it because of his soul?
G chuckled âalright, no no in publicâ
You glared at him with that neutral face of yours, though he can sense a bit of amusement in your eyes.
At least you enjoy his presence, even just a tiny bit or the faintest of interests. It was enough for him.
âBuying flowers?â You said.
You asked him first, ask about him. Whether itâs just a polite manner or not, it would be human thing that he didnât care about anyway. Because of that, G canât help the smile growing on his face.
You gave him a look.
ânope, just passing byâ G tucked a hand in his jeansâ pocket and leaned on one of his legs.
You gave him a hum then looked around the flower shop.
âbuying flowers?â G returned the question back to you.
âYesâ
âfor what occasion?â
â... For a friendâ
He was too forward, too personal, too soon. But you answered it anyway, and he appreciated you opening up to him.
You went inside the shop to find the florist, G was about to follow you but something had catched his eyes.
A set of little yellow flowers put into long tubes contained water; branches were longer than the tube to show its shiny yellow pedals.
It reminded him of his old friends in Underground.
Back when he had been in Underground, after he woke up to only see glitches everywhere, no one else to be seen, even himself had become unrecognized. Vague memories kept rampaging through his mind.
He knew the CORE incident had glitched the Underground to the point of unrecognizable, because he knew how it looked before. But himself was the only thing he didn't know.
After he had calmed down. There was one thing he knew.
He had to fix the Glitch.
And it must be at the COREÂ
The CORE had become unknown where it was due to the Glitch effects. Places or paths he had known were all messed up. Every floor, every wall, every dirt, every water or anything he had known.
Except, flowers. The two flowers Underground had, Golden flowers and Echo flowers.
He was in an unknown place. Alone. But at least he had soft flower beds to sleep on. He had flowers to talk to. The only familiarity he can get, not even his soul could provide.
How pathetic of him.
G glared at the little yellow flowers in the tubes, it's the exact same color and the same numbers of pedals like the Underground ones. But clearly, it was smaller.
âThatâs our buttercup if youâre interestedâ The florist said while you were standing beside them with a banquet in hand.Â
He was deep in thought that he didnât notice the two of you walked out. Being self-conscious, he looked around the shop and acted like he didnât just stare at the bright little flowers. Suddenly, the blue roses behind the table got his full attention.
âwhat-â he cleared his throat before smiling ânever see rose this blue beforeâ
âWell, because the blue is fakeâ the florist said simply but Gâs soul ached. âIsnât it amazing? It literally-âÂ
âOliverâ You interrupted the florist with a firm voice. âEven though I love talking flowers with you but we really need to goâ You were looking at G's face. When he noticed, he slowly looked away to pretend like he didnât see what kind of face you gave him. The expression that you sense or know something about him, the part he didn't want you to know.
Seeing that G sudden reaction was to pretend, it made you feel a knot forming up in your chest. He hid behind his wall while also asking you to lower your own.
You quickly grabbed his arm and dragged him out the shop. However, G canât help the urge to look back in that direction for one last time. He thought the blue roses had talked to him. But maybe he misheard. Thereâs always something wrong with him after all.
âwoah, slow down sweetheart. i donât remember having a date with you today, tho i donât mind-â
âJust shut upâ irritated but you took a deep breath before your steps slowed down. âBlue roses...it was made upâ You said slowly âI wouldn't call it... that. It was made up, and itâs prettyâ
G was quiet for a second before he started to talk again âi thought weâre in a hurryâ he tucked on your hand that still clasped with his.
You immediately let go of his hand âWeâre going to the cafe then Iâm off to my businessâ Your voice filled with a bit of irritation but not as much as before.
G didnât know what you saw in him, your soul didn't recognize him but you often did something or asked him something that made him questioning. You both had met just a few times. So, what did you know
Thatâs a question for later, he was going to enjoy some coffee with you today. More time with you. A piece of you.
A little bit of your attention was enough for him.
Because why would he had gone through hell
And wouldnât get his happy ending
I noticed that you had a version of G!Sans, may we see more of him? If not, it is all good! I am just interested in the ideas that you have for him.
THANK YOU FOR THE ASK!! cuz i totally forgot i haven't post his fanfic here. I just posted it here (Don't follow that blog guys... i use it to ramble...)
At first i wanna make G x Reader story but then it became more of G's story. (I think I have problem about it being xReader or just his story his world or AU. My brain cant function with this complexity/uncertainly)
Problem Souls, is the story name. The story has like 3 phrases?(is it the right word?)
The past, when he was in underground. The present time, on surface where he has identity and existential crisis. It's the phrase he met Reader. Last phrase is after he finally found himself. He became an ecologist and travel around the world.
Sorry for the long ahh texts.
I only have his fanfic in xReader right now. (the links above) I hope it would give you some understanding of him and his mind.
At the time I write the fic was October, the month i dedicate to writing and months after that is very busy, so I haven't finished any actual drawings.
My pen broke so i cant draw digitally and i think i want some redesign for him. I want the difference of the original G and my G be subtle but idk... eh... brain cant think...
I hope this post at least, can give/answer what you asked.
i think... maybe i will post my G fanfic on my another Tumblr blog tho... it's still a draft too. because there's still many things lacking. It's 4 chapters with random prompts i got, so it's really scattered and unarranged.
Im just too excited. The actual fic (if it's finished) will be post on my AO3
This chapter is a little short because I think drawing the scene should be better.
Another day of sleepless nights. His mind wonât let him sleep, so he went for a walk. Just like any other day, he wandered around town in the dark with only moonlight and some lampposts as sources of light.
Steps after steps.
Lights fading.
How did he get here.
In front of the mountain. Mountain Ebott.
Deep frown on his face. Frustration. Iriration. How ridiculous was it for him to show up here in all of any other places he could be at, so many bars so many pubs he could attain instead of this place.
What kind of game do they think they were playing to make him encounter this much suffering.
How much hatred did the world have for him
He hated the world too, as much as they hated him.
Quickly grabbed his cigarette out, lit it up with a lighter, his best friend. Deep inhale. Greyish smokes flowed up in the air, swirling then faded away.
He thought he could even hear whispering coming from the inside of the mountain, which should be impossible considering how far it was.
âalright, how about a little journey for tonightâ There was no joy in his chuckles, only sarcasm.
And here he was. In the wishing room. With a bit of this and that, and some advertising, this place became open for humans to come in and make a wish. For humans to know that monsters do wish too, it made them see monsters as people like them. Though it only convinced some of them.
Glowing gems filled up in the cave walls and ceilings. Glistening like the stars above. Beautiful. But he could only feel irritation boiling up inside.
âheyâ he spoke to an echo flower in front of him.
âheyâ the flower answered back. Just like how it always was. Just like when there was the Glitch in Underground. And him.
The more he stared at it the more scowl on his face intensified.
âi made a lots of wishesâ Cigarette in hand pointed at the flower âsome wishes had been fulfilled but most donâtâ
âheh, i donât even remember what i had wished for. There were just too manyâ
His wishes, it was all gone after he had fixed the Glitch but he was still here. After the second loud explosion from the CORE, the first thing he had seen was his hands still looked the same. Hollowed.Â
And him, the tall skeleton rushing to the scenes. The usual cheerful skeleton was shocked to see his face, the horror of seeing someone else and not his brother. Though G believed he forgot about ever having a brother anyway. Thatâs what the Glitch left. Stole âhimâ and left a glitch to stay. And whatâs a glitch supposed to do in this world?
âbut thereâs a wish i remembered clearlyâ He emphasized on next words âtill this dayâ
âone wish, the one i need it to become real the mostâ
âbut it never came trueâ
âbut it never came trueâ The flower echoed back.
His other hand reached out, almost grabbing the flower but stopped an inch away. The hand retreated back to his pantsâ pocket; the other hand went up to his mouth then another long drag of smoke.
âpatheticâ G muttered to himself.
âIâm hereâ
G instantly looked around, no other flowers were close by, only this one. Confusion on his face as he looked back at the flower.
âFollow the path.â It said again.
Echo flowers were supposed to repeat the last sound it heard, not talking like this. His soul beating fast, something was calling.

Itâs raining somewhere else
But he was able to hear it
Too damn well
An old-fashioned glass, ball shaped ice though emptied of liquid. Skeletal hands reached for the bottle, scraping sounds of bones and glass could be heard echoing through the quiet room.
Room temperature liquid yet felt so hot going through his mouth then to the void. Voided, just liked his entire being.
Dark cave filled with glowing gems, soothing rain drops can be heard from far away. Whispering, whispering so annoyingly. Repeating the old things over and over.
Memories surged through his mind. It was cold down there. He felt it even though he had never been there. Snowdin. A lovely town filled with warmth despite it snowing all the time.
A pile of snow with red marker was written in âhisâ name.
A big door deep in the wood. Knock knock, voices, laughing.
A book was in âhisâ hands, sitting beside a fiery rece car bed.
There was happiness. There was amusement, fear, disappointment, anger, depression and a bit of hope. He felt it all, but it was not his.
All those loneliness he had endured, all those efforts he had put into fixing the Glitch. He had tried so hard, because there was a hope that, maybeâŠ. Maybe if he can fix it, it would fix him too. Fix the Glitch. Fix the CORE, and he could get the answer for it. The answer for his existence, was it âhimâ or was it something else entirely.
He had fixed the Glitch, but to no avail it didnât fix âhimâ. While he was still here, âheâ never returned. No one recognized him nor remembered âhimâ
Thereâs nothing he can do for the past to come back. For whatever was there to come back. The only thing remaining was him, a glitch. That must be it, his existence. A glitch beyond repair.
When pulling the sting from the past didnât help, he can only fall deep into the darkness.
Until he found you. His soulmate, pulling on his soul and reminding him that he had a soul. A soul that can connect to someone, a soul that was possible to have a connection. You were his new memories, âheâ never met you. You were his future and something truly his.
Unfortunately, even if he was in front of you. You didnât seem to recognize him. Didnât recognize the pulling you had been doing to him.
But it was fine. He was ok with it.
While the old memories keep haunting him, he can be with you to create new memories. What kind of memories were all fine, at least it was his. Only his.
You were the future he looked forward to.
Please pull him off this darkness.
Snickering voices followed by a shuffling sound filled the room. G reached his hand to find the phone that had fallen down to the floor. His back laid long on the couch. Clicking sounds, then a few beeping, you picked up his call.
âHello?â Your voice filled with suspicion of why he would call you.
âhi~â an overly cheerful voice.
â...â there was a silent âAre you drunk?â
âmaybe~âÂ
âYou-â You sighed out loud, he heard it clearly even through the phone. G chuckled at your irritation.
You continued to be quiet while his laugh died down. In the quiet with you, he didn't hear any rain. With you, even on the phone itâs not exactly quiet either. He heard your breathing, and some fabric moving. Like you were close to him right now.
âwhat are you doing?â
âGoing to your placeâ
âwhy?â
âYouâre drunkâ G hummed. âOf course you are always drinking but not this drunkâ you said, unimpressed. âI know you lone wolf live aloneâ
âkeep calling me a wolf then coming to me? careful sweetheart, i bite.â He howled into the phone expecting it to be a teasing tone but with his alcohol filled-mind, it didnât come out as anything pleasantable. And he didnât even care about that. He heard another long sigh from you with much more force to it. That made him crack up more.Â
âare you here yet?â G whined
âIâm not even getting to my car yetâ
âweirdâ G moved to his side on the couch, an arm resting under his head âi thought i was with you all this timeâ It surprised him to hear you giggling through the phone, your small little laughs that you tried to hold back. A sudden tuck was on his soul. G slowly exhaled, his body felt lighter.
Please continue pulling his soul, even though you wonât catch his hand. Even though you kept him hanging. At least pull on his soul, whether for your entertainment or your own use. Please donât let go, so he won't fall into the darkness again.Â
Itâs raining somewhere else
Pitter patter
It sounds more like pity
Act like you love him
Pretend like itâs real
Heâll believe in your every lie
Heâll be your everything
So please
Act like you truly love himÂ
Warm dim light, soothing sight and jazz song. Thatâs what Grillbyâs bar always was. It was G favorite and easily became yours too.
G had his hand on the table while yours was caressing it. Just like their first night together. You liked to touch his hands, circling your fingertips around inside the hollow of his palm and brushing along the shape of his phalanges.
The gesture gave G so much comfort, his soul felt like you took a weight off and covered it with your warmth. Still, your eyes were filled with longing even though your soul was pulling his soul so hard. Itâs like your hand reaching out to him but when he reached out to you, you didnât catch his.Â
G thought you was searching for someone else.Â
Was it âhimâ that you tried to find?
Was it the monster he saw in his memories? The scattered and tangled up memories. Memories of seeing floating hands went around the lab, of seeing a blue jacket stained with ketchup and another tall skeleton yelling.
He can feel some deep connection toward the tall skeleton but he doesn't have any memories with said skeleton, only âhimâ did. He can feel some connection toward other monster as well, but it was not his memories, itâs âhisâ
All the memories, all the knowledge he got, he had never experienced it himself. How could he say itâs his.
He knew that. So he tried- he had tried to fix it.
He had fixed the CORE, The Glitch had gone. Everything had become normal again.
Except âheâ never came back.
And heâs still here.
So sorry sweetheart, but âheâ no longer exists.
Your attention was on his hand while G clasped it and brought it up to his face, as well as your attention.
âwhatcha thinkin?â Stop thinking about âhimâ
âNot reallyâ G guided your hand to nuzzle his face.
âlike my hands that much?â Heâs here now
âYour face tooâ Your fingers gently caressing along his scars with a soft smile. G was also smiling, but his eyelights were filled with sadness again. You didnât know much about him. Maybe you didnât know him at all, but you know when he makes those faces and you can understand what he feels.
Your relationship with him never meant to go this far, but his presence relaxed you, and maybe you pitied him too.Â
âHey~â a customer walked up to your table, a bunny monster. She drunkenly dragged G up. âSorry we gotta steal your boyfriend for a sec. The pups missed himâ you heard roaring voices from the tables where many canine monsters were sitting at.
âHeâs not mine, just take himâ you swatted your hand in the air, your face grinning. G had a nervous smile on his face but let the bunny dragged him away.
You was giggling, watching G get friendly greetings from the canines when Grillby walked up to you with a paper bag. You looked at him curiously, no one ordered anything.
âThank youâ He said. Itâs your first time hearing him talk.
âUm Iâm not quite sure what you meantâŠâÂ
Your eyes followed Grillbyâs gazes that turned to G, who was standing in the middle of the bar and surrounded by other customers. Everyone seemed to enjoy his presence, though you couldnât say if G feels the same. Â âAfter he met you. He came here more often, hence why we got to talk to him moreâ
âI thought he is a regular hereâ Your attention went back to Grillby.
Grillby's voice was gentle, his bright fire crackling firmly yet so soothing. âHe is. But most of the time, he didnât seem like he want to talkâÂ
It baffled you because G always looked so lonely and craved your affection like a lost puppy. âEveryone seems to like himâ
âHe the one who saved us allâ
And Grillby just said something even more shocking, your hands were quick enough to cover your opening mouth.
âYou should ask him, he knows a lot. He even knows every monsterâs namesâ Grillbyâs eyes narrowed, deep in thought.Â
When Grillby walked away. You looked at G and thought itâs a good time to go home. Grabbed the paper bag Grillby gave you then walked up to G, his smile growing slightly. His eyelights begging you to help him from this cluster of cheerful folks.
âSorry guy, we gotta goâ your arm circled around Gâs arm, pulled on it a little, dragging him with you in a hurried manner. There was another loud cheer as you both walked out.
Your arm was still around his when you both walked out the bar. Looking up at the night sky, you saw it was filled with bright stars and you stopped your steps. G followed your gestures.
âItâs pretty right?â you said softly.
âyeahâ His voice was low.
âDo you like it?â you knew that many monsters like stars so you asked G to see if he thought the same.
âi think⊠i used toâ his eyelights never left the stars above.
âUsed to? Whatâs changed?â You frowned at his weird choice of words.Â
âmeâ his usual white eyelights showed faint light of blue and gold. âbut it's still pretty thoughâ then he shut his eyes completely.
âYeah it's always prettyâ You decided to not think of it much, for your own peace of mind and for him too.
âletâs me take you home, itâs cold outsideâ he took his jacket off then used it to cover your shoulder.Â
âYou know I have a carâ you sighed, but couldn't stop the smile forming up in the corner of your lips. G saw it and smiled even more brightly.
âwelp, you still need to walk to your carâ he chuckled, bubbly feelings filled the both of you while walking to where your car was.
Your little attention for him was good enough. But the more heâs with you, the more he sees your face with new expressions he has never seen. He realized. He lied. He craved more of your attention.
Act like you truly love him
Because if you could do that
Maybe he could too
Pretend like âhimâ
Act like âhimâ
