A quick reminder that Vassa is cursed because she didn’t want to be immortal.
This shouldn’t be discounted. The biggest part of her storyline is that Vassa wants to be human. She was sold out by the other human queens because she didn’t want to go into the cauldron.
And on that same note, Lucien was exiled from his home in Autumn and can no longer see his mother. He left his home in Spring for Elain. He longs for a home and family. He’s not going to give that up and become mortal once he finds out Helion is his father.
If two characters have contradictory goals, it’s a big sign that they won’t end up together.

I never NOT get pissed at how Feyre and the IC (Cassian does it in his head and you KNOW that since he knows, the rest know and they mock them too) mock Lucien, Vassa and Jurian, three literal exiles without real homes, finding comfort in each other and jokingly calling themselves Band of Exiles.
