So this is Prism, and we thought it would be interesting if the delightful cerberus behind this blog ran an interview with our personal Wild Unknown decks. This should let us (and you!) see the subtleties in personality across several readers while the cards remain constant.Ā 1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic? Lovers
This deck is clearly excited to start this new relationship with me (fun fact this is the first spread I did when I opened the box). There is a lot of optimism in the compatibility of this deck with my own mentality as a reader. Horray!
2. What are your strengths as a deck? 9 Wands
Most people have a tendency to consult cards when theyāre facing mental struggles or need insight in their life that they havenāt honestly given themselves. This card is telling me that the deck is here to remind me of the light at the end of the tunnel. There is going to be hard truths, itās not going to be all flowers and stars (looking at you, Rider Waite Sun), but they will be actionable truths.Ā
3. What are your limits? Wheel of Fortune
This is probably my favorite card question pair I have ever drawn.Ā āMy limits are that I canāt actually change the course of events. Things are going to happen regardless of my input sometimes. Iām just a deck of cards, lady.ā
4. What are you here to teach me? Father of Swords
How to approach my life situations with a fair and balanced mindset. Think on things before you act to make sure that theyāre informed actions and just.Ā
5. How can I best learn and collaborate with you? 3 Swords
This was a hard one for me to parse initially, as 3 of swords in the Wild Unknown deck is not really considered a good card. But I drank my tea and pondered it, and it all clicked asĀ āDonāt get bound up by what I tell you.ā Donāt get so set on a course of action because of what you perceive is happening, think in a balanced and rational manner (hey Father of Swords, I see this is relating back to you).Ā
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship? Daughter of PentaclesĀ
Learning to listen to the intuition I possess. This is sort of a balancing act from the Father of Swords, and itās reminding me that I have the insight and abilities, I just need the confidence in it. Donāt overthink things in life, act decisively and follow my heart and Iāll probably be in the right.Ā
Extra Card* : Death
Well, thatās on the nose, now isnāt it? *I almost ALWAYS pull an extra card from the deck as habit forĀ āclarificationā purposes although they arenāt usually needed.Ā
This whole reading was pleasant to be honest, and this deck definitely refers to how I approach the cards when I read. I long ago stopped looking for DISCOURSE DIRECT FROM THE COSMOS and started approaching my reads as a guided meditation. They help me bring to the surface things I mull over quietly in the back. On occasion Iāll get Told Things in Capital Letters but not as frequently as when I was younger.Ā
Similar to ModKatās introduction to her Wild Unknown deck, mine is here to be direct. The imagery is strong without the endless amounts of symbolism present in most Rider Waite adaptions, while still being based enough on it that itās not totally unfamiliar. I was uncertain about this deck based on the scattered online stills of random cards, but I think weāll have a great working relationship.Ā

14 (from Styler to Bee)
soft touch meme - Meme Monday
He wasnāt expecting Styler to be awake. Lucky for her he didnāt doubt who was sneaking up behind him to wrap him in a hug... still the gesture earned a startled flinch.
Bee slapped the soldering iron down in its stand and postured his irritation momentarily but it didnāt manifest when he twisted to look at her. She seemed tired and lonely... Bee forgets too easily that Styler wants him to be here for her too, not just the kids.
He sighs and hugs her back, teleporting the both of them to bed. Work isnāt so important, yeah?

Meilanās grandfather was a professional martial artist but he lost his honor in a fight supposedly and hung it up forever. Her father never pursued it, focusing on providing for his family so they could have a better life out of total poverty.
Nataku inspired Meilan to travel and learn for herself. She always sent some of her pay as a knight to her father- a tradition Nataku continued after her death.
Rock & Nataku cannot feel pain in their horns while Batol can in special circumstances. All three royal knights continue to grow their horns slowly over time and need to maintain their size and shape through use or filing.
Nataku is the only knight who uses his horns on a regular basis and thus requires the least amount of extra manicure. Natakuās use of his horns is unorthodox for his species though, and their shape reflects this Haxorus-like behavior.
