We are feeding the masses! We are building a religion! We are scaring straight who walk past the booth and whisper under their breaths, "gay vampires...?"

While he didn’t entirely understand them, Priam had to admit that the Outrealms could be very beautiful. Currently, the Shepherds were at the beach in one of the Outrealms. They had defeated some Risen earlier, and now all of them were relaxing in beautiful sunset-kissed beach. They were planning to stay the night, Priam had heard from Frederick, and was thankful for the chance to unwind. It was rare that the army got the chance to stay in such a beautiful place without having to worry about anything except for how to spend their time.Â
Priam had decided to walk along the beach, admiring the way the fiery-orange sun bounced off the crystal clear waves to create a prism of color. At first, he had planned on taking the walk with Robin, so that they could share this peaceful experience together. However, she told him she had to do something, so he was left to wander the seaside by himself for now.
It was true that as the lead tactician of the Shepherds she was constantly busy, but he had hoped that the change of scenery would allow for her to relax a bit, and to stop being such a busy body. He would be lying to himself if he said he wasn’t a bit upset and hurt by her refusal to come along with him, but reasoned with himself that whatever she had to do was truly important to make her work in such an amazing place.
Priam was too caught up in his own thoughts that he didn’t hear the unmistakable sound of someone walking in the sand behind him at first. It wasn’t until a familiar voice gave a cry of “Priam!” that he realized someone was trying to catch up to him. He turned around, and although he knew whom the voice belonged to before seeing them, he was still slightly surprised at the sight of Robin following him. He couldn’t help but notice how the fading sun was framed around her person, lighting up those deep and wise brown eyes, and making her look more beautiful than any goddess, at least in his mind.
“There you are! I was looking for you!” Robin told him, now standing only a few away from him, and smiling with what Priam had come to recognize as love.
“I thought you said you had to do something?” While he was glad that she decided to go out and look for him, he was confused by change in her attitude.
“Oh, that’s right!” she exclaimed, looking as though she had remembered something important. She then began to dig through the pockets of her coat, searching for something. Priam didn’t understand why she insisted on wearing the thing at the beach, surely it was uncomfortable and stifling. Although, he was the one donning armor and carrying a sword at his side admittedly.
She suddenly made of noise of excitement, and dug out the object she was looking for from one her thousands of pockets. The item was small, able to fit in only one of her tiny hands easily. She took Priam’s hand and lifted up, then placed the object in his palm before releasing her hold on him.
In his hand was seashell. At first nothing stood out to him about it, but he brought it closer to his face and saw why it had caught Robin’s eyes. The shell was colored a stunning washed out baby blue, with flecks of white, making it look more beautiful than some of the expensive jewelry the nobles wore. The shell itself was worn, its sides were smoothed out from years of erosion, but its age only added to its charm. The wear made it look like an old heirloom that had stayed lovely even after all of this time.
Despite the undeniable beauty of the shell, Priam’s question was still unanswered. He looked up to Robin with a questioning look, and waited for his silent confusion to be given an answer. He was a bit surprised by the way Robin looked down and blushed slightly, making her look bashful.
“I’ve been really busy lately, planning different things, and preparing for our eventual battle with the fell dragon.” Robin began to explain. Priam noted how she refused to call the monster by his given name. Just as well, he decided, for his name would soil this exquisite paradise.
“Because of how busy I’ve been, we haven’t had time to do anything together. And despite how much I know you probably wanted to, you never complained about it or made me feel bad for working. I felt terrible each every time I had to tell you that we couldn’t do something together because I was too busy.”
Priam admitted to himself that while it was true he felt lonely without Robin beside him, it was worse to know that she felt bad about herself because of circumstances she couldn’t change.Â
“Anyways,” she continued now looking up into her husband’s eyes, with her dazzling smile back on her face, “I wanted to thank you some how. I found this earlier today while we were fighting those Risen. It automatically made me think of you for some reason. I gave it to Frederick to watch out for it during the battle, since I knew I would lose it if I held onto it. Er, that’s why I said I had to do something earlier; I had to go get it back from Frederick. I caught him trying to give to Chrom as a gift!” She finished, with a small chuckle, then returning back to bashful behavior from earlier.
Priam felt an odd sense in his heart, the same when Robin had done his laundry for him that one day, a feeling that occurred often around Robin, he now acknowledged as love. Even amongst a battle, she had thought about giving him something? Now it was Priam’s turn to blush, though he tried to hide it.Â
“Um, do you like it?” He looked back at her to see her looking both expectant and slightly worried. He gripped the shell to make sure he didn’t drop it, and then embraced her in a hug. Robin was clearly surprised by the sudden action judging by her small gasp.
“I love it.” He whispered into her ear. “It’s as beautiful and resilient as you my love.”
“See! I keep saying you’re an amazing poet!” Robin giggled, glad he liked it.
The two spent the rest of evening walking along the beach together, looking for more shells to add to their collection.  However, Priam kept the one Robin had first given him as a good luck charm, much like his old tattered cape, to remind him in battle that he was fighting for a world where they could be together every day.
