3 minutes of film showing 6 months of building work.  It stops at the stage we were at a couple of weeks ago, there’s a lot more been happening since then! Only two weeks until we open....

Photos from Saturday 19 September, by the official LPW New Premises Photographer, Gordon Millar - showing the front, back and side of our new building.  We are honing our moving plans and we’ll be closing our studio on St Stephens Road on 24 September and opening the new studio on Wednesday 4 November.  We are keeping our admin office open as much as possible but will have to close between 8 October and 27 October.  We will try to keep everyone up to date via our website, twitter and Facebook.   Despite our great efforts and all the great support we have received, we still have £3600 still to raise. Fundraising has been going well with everyone’s kind support, only £4416 to go.  If you would like to help us get over the line please make a donation or come along to our next Pop Up Shop at Phoenix Cinema on Midland St in Leicester from 6 - 7pm on Friday and 7-8pm on Saturday, just before Short Cinema starts.

The builders (Brown & Shaw) are awaiting the arrival of the roof, which should be here the week commencing 8 June.  Meanwhile they have been digging foundations for the mezzanine floor, which has led to us discovering there was a building with a cellar on site before this warehouse (so that will take a bit more filling than originally envisaged).  They have also been cutting out the holes for the new windows and doors and filling in the old windows with some recessed brick work.  More work on our schedule suggests we’ll be moving October assuming we don’t discover the bones of a dead king!
