I was thinking about the "Ink would view his shipkids as a blessing from the creators(aka their gods)" idea, and how that's usually portrayed as good, when it basically comes conservative propaganda. The idea that children belong to their parents, that they aren't people but “a gift”; that they are a blessing so abortion bad and nuclear family good etc etc...

Which made me think more, and that kinda connects to An Eviler thought I have had for a while: A lot of shipkids are often made to be devoid of personality because people aren't interested in exploring the nuances of parenthood and/or how a kid might affect the dynamics, but because people see the nuclear family as the goal to every relationship! People will be pro good dad Ink but not actually Think of Ink's nuances in parenthood, like, how would Ink's views on scrips affect how he views his kids?? Nobody thinks about that
