It makes me so sad the way that you feel about Veronica Mars now (not that you’re wrong, cuz you’re not!) It’s just that I’ve been following you forever, and to see how someone I considered the BIGGEST fan is now so disgusted by it… they really fucked this fandom over. And it’s just sad!
It makes me feel sad, too, it is what I’ve been struggling with the most, even more so than the season 4 ending itself. This had never happened to me before, loving something so much for so long and being one of its biggest champions only to end up hating it so much I can’t bring myself to watch it again, let alone recommend it. It’s difficult to reconcile those two feelings - what the show used to mean to me, and what it means now. I might be able to watch the show again, in time. But almost a year later, the wounds are still too fresh and anything VM related conjures up the memory of that awful season 4 and that heartbreaking ending. And I don’t even know if I will ever be able to watch the show again without it being a constant reminder of season 4.
I admire those who can disassociate their love of the first three seasons and the movie from their hate for season 4. I’m not that lucky.
