primusregent Ed was wandering around the city, trying to find something interesting to do instead of going home. He wasn't interested in the cafes that littered the city, nor did he want to stop in at any of the bars which were almost as common. So instead, he was window-shopping, hoping something would catch his eye. And for awhile, it looked like nothing would.
That is, until he glanced into the window of an antique shop, not expecting to find anything interesting, and had to do a double-take. On display was a spear, and it overshadowed anything else that might have been in there. If the window was occupied by anything else, Ed didn't notice. That was the coolest-looking spear he had ever seen. It was carved to look like a dragon, and if that wasn't the most badass thing, Ed didn't know what was. Cool, he thought, and he didn't realize he'd muttered it under his breath until he realized that there was someone else who'd stopped to look in the window, and that they'd probably heard him. Embarrassing.
