 Tom Cruise has reached out to representatives from Ben Stiller to express their interest in co-starring with comedian on the planned Hardy Boys sequel. The comedy was directed by Shawn Levy, the man who directed Ben Stiller's Christmas hit Night at the Museum.Tmz.com reports that Ben Stiller has finally been okay from Twentieth Century Fox to do a remake. This version of the Hardy Boys story would be an actual sequel in which the boys would now be grown up men. The name of the sequel would be Hardy Men and show character to come back to the mystery solving ways. As expected with the star as Ben Stiller, the movie has a comic twist.Tom Cruise has been approached by Ben Stiller in the past to work together. Ben Stiller is currently planning to film a movie this summer, which is a parody comedy of the popular Mission Impossible movies that Tom Cruise has been a part of. Cruise enjoyed the task idea and script of the film, which will be named Tropic Thunder, but chose not to participate. Many think he did it because he knew the movie was too risky, especially as the Mission Impossible series is something he is very connected to. There is still a possibility that he may appear in the film in a small role.Many insiders in the film industry believe that Tom Cruise understand the comedy route may be the best way for him to help re-establish a career that is currently struggling. This may be the reason that Tom Cruise went out of his way to contact Ben Stiller about possibly working together in the upcoming Hardy Boys project that will start filming in October in year.Ben Stiller and Tom Cruise in the same screen is sure to collect lots of interest. If Tom Cruise really decides to join Ben Stiller on the big screen, it will likely be a hit on interest alone.
