i know in my own fic, bren presumed that veth would be too timid and weak to actually be a successful volstrucker, but the reality is that she would have been the easiest person for trent to win over. the second he put on that fatherly facade, i think he could have had her eating out of the palm of his hand. she was an ostracized little girl who didn't get the support she needed from her own family. if trent appealed to her from the position of supplanting her family, as he does in the animated show, and told her she was special and important, i don't think she would have resisted at all. one of THE easiest people to manipulate for his desired ends, he could have shaped her into exactly the weapon he wanted
