Days 1, 2, and 3!
1- First queer book?
My first queer book was Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Sáenz. I read it at a summer camp and loved it!
2- Fantasy rec?
Earthcast by Koryos! It’s a fantasy webnovel featuring a golem and a vampire that fall in love. It just finished last week and the golem is just so good and sweet I love her so much. Alternatively, The Fifth Season by NK Jemison. It’s debatable if its sci-fi or fantasy but its so good you guys.
3- Science fiction?
Oh my god like 95% of the books I like are queer sci-fi. Some of my favorites are the Imperial Radch trilogy by Ann Leckie (revenge! AI main characters! a complete lack of gender!), the Stars Are Legion by Kameron Hurley (lesbian organic sci-fi), and Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee (math-based alien civilisation. super dense but super good)
