#pride crafts

I finally got around to stitching one of @cinimuffin's gorgeous pride moth designs!

I stitched the first moth from this chart on vinyl canvas, making an oversized bag charm. I did find the black sections where the wings join onto the body a little tricky to count, because the grid lines blend into the blocks, but I'm also not good at the counting part of cross stitch.

I made an aromantic pride snake!

This came about for a few reasons:

I'd been wanting to experiment with beads big enough to be worked into crochet

The assortment of bead colours I'd bought to start experimenting with happen to have lots of colours that fit pride flags

It's Pride Month, why not try that out now

I'm aro, so obviously that had to be the first thing I made

In the process, I accidentally ended up designing a fidget toy? The way the beads and the yarn interact makes this noodle friend very satisfying to hold and wiggle and play around with! :3

Since I'm also ace, I then added some asexual pride feathers to evolve them into an aroace quetzalcoatl!

These are quite simple to make and I have many more bead colours, so I was thinking of maybe making some more snakes of different pride flags (without the feathers) to sell, and/or writing up and selling the pattern so that other people can make their own? Let me know if you'd be interested in either of those!
