Allen woke up slowly, feeling the soft sheets of the bed, he didn't remember being forced into going to the bedroom, he just remember waiting for Selene to arrive and-
The memories came, making him sit up way too fast, he groaned, his vision went black, and he fell back on the bed, weak, he was too weak to even sit. Allen whimpered at his own helplessness.
"First thing you do is act pathetically," Selene said, he hadn't seen her in the room, or anything else to be honest, his vision was still covered in black dots, "you are cuter like this~" she purred, tracing his neck with her cold fingers, "all shivering and tasty."
"Please don't- don't now," Allen pleaded, his captor's hand was now on her favorite spot to bite, "I'll die- plea-"
"Shhhh," Selene ordered, placing her finger on his lips, "We'll find out soon enough if you will die or not, as soon as -" her speech was cut by the doorbell, "Oh, just in time."
Allen heart was racing, he forced his head up enough to watch Selene leaving the room, but was too weak to stay in position, so he tried to use his hearing instead.
Selene greeted a man –Athan, he heard– and went back to the bedroom. He felt his blood run cold when the man entered, he was a vampire too, and at each step, his fangs become closer, Allen already can't feed one.
"I told you he looked pretty," Selene said, grabbing Allen's face as tears started to leave his eyes, he wanted to beg for mercy but he couldn't, not when there was something else, what if Selene thinks he is defying her? What if this vampire is worse?
"He would be prettier if he had more blood in his face," Athan said calmly with a small smile as he walked closer, making Allen flinch.
"He is the one to blame," Selene said, letting go of his face.
"You say this as if you hadn't killed the ones before him," Athan said with the same tone, same smile, "Why did you call me? because let's be honest, you don' really care if he lives," he continued and Allen couldn't breathe.
"This one is tastier," Selene explained with a shrug, "I want to feed on him longer~"
Athan tilted his head a bit, with his eyebrow raised, when Selene didn't say anything more he sighed softly, walking even closer and putting his hand on Allen's neck.
"Please," Allen managed with a keen voice, his eyes shut tightly while he tried to stop shaking.
"Easy there, boy," the vampire said, his cold hands lightly touching his skin, "I'm just checking you up, I won't eat you, okay?"
Allen nodded, because of course he did, what else could he even do?
"You did great boy, try to breathe a bit now," the vampire said, letting go of his neck and patting his head, he had the same smile as before, which didn't change as he turned to Selene and started talking again, "He won't live long if you feed on him the way you do, you need either don't drink his blood at all for a month or take little blood, and only from time to time, but knowing you it would be better if you just had one last big meal on him," The words left his mouth so naturally as if his hand wasn't still patting Allen's head, as if he wasn't there.
"Boring," Selene complained.
"Humans aren't immortals, you can drink from them every day, well, not if you want them to live anyway, so... what will you do?"
Selene looked down at Allen, who flinched at her gaze, air not entering his lungs again, "You know me, if he stays around I'll feed on him."
"Yes... unless..." Selene grinned widely, sending a shiver down Allen's spine, "What do you think about borrowing him for a few months?"
