This is irrelevant to anything but I’m gathering that Eboni K. Williams is a conservative. Based on the people she mentions in this book and based on her working with FOX News Netwrok.
I know from her court show that she is pro-gay, bro black rights, and pro-feminism. I don’t find this position conflicting or strange because I’ve met enough conservatives working with a civil rights organization. She’s more center-right than anything. All her heroes are conservative White women. It’s kind of boring to see her go on about them again and again.
This book really could have been an essay. I think I’m done reading it at this point. There is nothing actionable that she wants us to do. At the end of every chapter, her conclusion is, “Women get judged for their looks whether we like it or not.” How many times do I have to read that before I just realize there’s nothing in this book at all? There’s nothing in this book at all. At 59%, I am done.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Meghan McCain chapter in Pretty Powerful. It’s actually about her size and the criticism she got for being fat. Someone called her fat and everybody turned her attention to her—and they stayed because they thought she was actually beautiful and had good things to say. She ended up getting more opportuniteis. She also talked about how she hates makeup, how bueaty looks different in different regions (like how being thin is the standard on the West coast, but in the South, she is considered comparatively small) and yadda yadda.
Anyways… still reading.

Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful 2.0 Submission
Last Friday while I was on Twitter, I came across Bobbi Brown's "Pretty Powerful 2.0" contest and decided to enter it since it didn't require much but a written submission and a photo.  I was under the impression that you needed to write a 250 word short essay explaining your secrets to beauty and confidence..."easy" I thought....  After a few hours of preparing my short submission I realized it asked for no more than 250 CHARACTERS, not words!!!  It took me longer to condense the submission to 250 character than it took me to write the whole thing...EPIC FAIL!!! Either way, I'm including it below since it might serve as a motivational speech to someone. lol P.S.
