Described as ‘a bedroom prayer on what it is to be alone with self-acceptance,’ Hannah Westerholm’s debut single is delivered with one long, beautiful sigh, wringing every last drop of emotion from its weathered chords as the North Dakota native channels the homespun beauty of Tomberlin, Angel Olsen and Soccer Mommy.

Westerholm says about the track via press release:

‘I wrote this song in my childhood bedroom the week before my parents moved. I found all my dreams coming true and I felt totally isolated by it. But I realized quickly that just because you feel lonely, doesn’t mean you need to make it harder by putting yourself down. It’s all about self-acceptance and allowing for the fluidity [of] your own emotions.’

Living up to her name, Half Wolf vows to only release songs during new moon cycles, so expect several other tracks later in the year.
