CAMP NIGHTWING , SUMMER OF 1978. @pretendperfect was a counselor now , but ziggy was still a camper. the sisters couldn't be more different. they only had two things in common : their last name they got from their father ( not something to brag about ) and the auburn hair they both got from their mother ( also not something to brag about. ) the hair was an easy target for taunts about how gingers have no souls and therefore , ziggy must be a witch , descended from sarah fier herself. if they were so intent on the witch hunt , they could at least get some original content to bully her with. it wasn't impressive or cool like sheila and kurt thought it was. it was boring. until it wasn't anymore. they may not have lit her up at at the stake, but they did leave a nasty burn on her arm. โ shit , โ she mumbled under her breath when she saw literally the last person she wanted to see right now.
there was no subtle way to cover the mark on her arm , so she just groaned and slapped her other hand on top of it , awkwardly holding her arm to hide the burn. โ you look like one of them , โ is what she said in lieu of a greeting โ and maybe as a means for distraction , keep the focus on the older sister instead of the younger one. โ seriously , what are you wearing? is that a polo? โ she asked rhetorically , because obviously it was.

caroline gave a loose shrug of her shoulders looking around at their situation . it could hardly get any worse by any means . she groaned finally looking her head on . โ yeah i know that , but what can we do now? they're pretty much camping the door . โ she said before her gaze shot to the door suspiciously .
