Morning Coffee
From the “what would I do without you” prompts by @me-writes-prompts
Bill huffed, smacking the god forsaken Keurig before skulking into the dinng room, his arms crossed. Hearing his love enter the room, Darcy looked up from where he was reading the morning paper, a bemused smile on his face.
“Prince, I don’t think hitting it is going to solve any problems.” He told him with a chuckle.
This, however, only made the blond pout further. “Yes well, I can’t get the stupid thing to work and some people need caffeine to function, Darcy.” Bill replied with another huff.
Darcy raised an eyebrow at his husband, letting out a soft little sigh before setting down his paper. Bill had been wrestling with their new coffee machine (a wedding gift from Katherine and Sarah) ever since they had returned from their honeymoon. Darcy stood up, kissing Bill’s temple on his way into the kitchen. He hummed softly as he started making Bill coffee, finding where he went wrong almost immediately. He shook his head, deciding it was probably best to not point out that all Bill had to do was turn the part that held the coffee to the left ever so slightly and it would’ve snapped into place.
After this fix Darcy put in a coffee filter, scooping Bill’s favorite blend into it. He smiled when he felt arms wrap around his waist, continuing to make his coffee.
“What would I do without you, Dar?” Bill murmured, pressing his face into Darcy’s shoulder blade.
“You’d have to learn how to make your morning coffee yourself.” Darcy replied with a chuckle, turning around in Bill’s arms.
He leaned down and kissed his husband with a little smile. “Don’t worry, Prince. As long as you have me, you’ll always be caffeinated.” He teased, letting Bill cuddle into his arms as he waited for his coffee to finish brewing.
