Feet dragged against the ground, converse snagging as the loose laces caught against concrete as she walked towards the BMW; lips pressing firmly in a thin line. Was she ever going to be free? Especially when she knew she was needed for something bigger, bigger than the girl that was trapped behind lock and key, that struggled behind each and every barrier before she fought her way out of the very place they were going to go to. Those black does meet his, reflecting his own within; in the end of it all. There had been reasons they were going alone even if it was a stupid idea, Lillian had to learn more, had to see what else was within her that wasn't the ordinary. An experiment as such wasn't any normal human being, counting Eleven. They each had lives that had been on the edge; a life that could be crushed into dust because there was no other acknowledgement of their lives ever being.. well. Living. With Lillian, she never had parents; never had that piece that would allow her to piece together the struggle. Born the way she was, genes altered just to fit the changes; she was probably lucky to be alive. Intertwined and crippled within her own being when it came to her abilities; where was control even if she fought for it? Wrapped around her own fingers so tightly, she was still pulling the strings that remained attached, and yet in her own mind she could already hear it begging. That if she pushed too far; maybe she wouldn't survive what her body couldn't take it's own hold of.

The flat of her hand rests against the side of her head; rum hues tainting between blue and red as she watched the trees brush past in endless blurs through the windows as darkness had already set in. Even the trees had looked eerie. The way they twined, they way their fallen leaves made the branches twist into the air, that even as street light reflected, the cursed shadows cascaded along the roadside before darkness became as they approached the fallen building she once called a prison. This has once been a home; yet a home wasn't the word she would ever use. With each fought battle, left her dwindling as they came to a stop. Hawkins Lab. The bright light at the end of the torch searching across the ground of a broken barrier once they were out, where evident damage had taken place, if it wasn't for people breaking in, by others it would seem this place had just been abandoned and used as shelter but it was more to it than that. Lillian had experienced that day.. had seen what she had when the horrors took place, maybe that had been the reason why this place was basically abandoned and didn't have visitors for very long? A little through gossip that was what she had heard. Tongue flicking her bottom lip, wetting her petals as she strides forward, flashing her torch back towards Steve "I promise to keep you safe, as safe as i can.. Theyโll kill me if I go back without you" a promise, it was something that couldn't be broken, not in her eyes, not from what El had told her. Stomach tangled with that unusual feeling, she glanced ahead, this time her orbs transitioned to a flaming red as she took caution, stepping over rubble. This was it. A flash back to the past as they stepped through the present, already she could hear the demodogs calling in the distant memory fogging up her mind.
