#prefall!luke

first we’ve got "prefall” in two flavors: raven and dove, because that’s poetic, sure. the black hair was always what I pictured (if it weren’t just always red) but the white, well... i guess it’s a predictable choice for a reason?

prefall:

same puffed out posture we all know n love, just less sleazy.

eyes are languid, bored. enormous [CREEPY] shine-less pupils. light metallic gold irises.

obviously heaven’s light gives you a nice tan, that just makes sense (its not a tan he’s just ‘naturally’ Brown)

BIRD FEET because fuck regular human tootsies man im too much of a furry easily bored for that shit

rooster spurs. talk about bein the cock of the walk, eh! b-because.. .. yknow.. feet are for walkin and.. roosters are called... .. ... ok bad joke

CURLY. WING SHAPED. HAIR. Weird? Gross? Cool? HOW DOES IT WORK? WHO KNOWS?? I LOVE IT. the wings are long and thin like a [tern]’s.

still got a huge schnoz, it just used to be straight. got all fucked up when he headbutted the ground after falling through the atmosphere, it’s Fine, it Adds Character, he’s Definitely Not Sensitive About It.

his head looks like a foot. that’s not necessarily a goal, it just makes me laugh and we could all use more a’ that, right?

extremities are golden, even metallic. just for funsies and to contrast my occasional tendency to darken Postfall Luke’s limbs.

this set of images introduces a burnt n cracked look to his extremities. usually i opt for the much simpler red gradient, but the crackles have made a few appearances... decisions, decisions!

hair lost it’s curl for the most part. sometimes i cant resist adding a little under the guise of greasiness or shagginess. pasted on wings just to show the difference in texture.

basically: gross sharp pale stringbean goblin with fiery hair n slit-pupiled eyes. a huge brat acting out in any way he can. pissed, manic, etc etc.

for these designs ignore the fact that he technically has had many different physical/earthbound bodies (those being due to how i kinda headcanon the curse/banishment/whatever working... more on that later, maybe.)

AND FINALLY you’ve got the tiniest smidgen of the idea that actually got me out of bed to cobble these together in the first place. real lame-o comic idea, of which those are the last / last three panel(s). one day...

PHEW. well. even if this vanishes into the archives immediately i’ve got shit to compare to later on! Bully!
