These “catching predator” accounts seem weird.
Yes, of course, it’s always good to find these predators and report them, but it is clearly just for content. Exaggerated reactions and expressions, constantly asking for and hyping up donations/gifts, setting streams to “follower only” for when the predator shows their face, promoting their discord, and sometimes even putting evidence behind a paywall. It’s as if it’s a joke, as if these events are the viewer’s to consume. Even if these people were to find and “catch” a predator, their evidence is tampered with. It wouldn’t be able to be used. If the person pretending to be the child made any advances on the predator, that predator could reverse it back on the "catcher"; the predator could say they felt threatened, forced, etc. if questioned in court. I’m not a lawyer, so I don’t know it all, but this is weird to me. It’s just content for you to consume. It feeds on the natural human curiosity. I don’t get how others don’t see how weird this is.
