First of all, when the virus spreads unchecked in other countries, we get more unstable, contagious, and dangerous variants. the brazil variant, for example, is what is going through the canucks right now. vaccinating other countries besides the US helps prevent further mutation. and second, it is absolutely immoral to withold life saving medical supplies in a PANDEMIC to other countries. these manufacturers wonât even give the formula or instructions to make the vaccine to other countries bc of capitalism. itâs very reminiscent of trumps america first rhetoric and is an example of nationalism at its very worst. so no, the US should not be withholding vaccines just bc it was absolutely incompetent in handling the pandemic and fucked itâs own citizens over
