My first forest planting! Made of Ficus cuttings a few months ago, and took a picture with it as it is finally growing crazy.
I have plans to shape this a bit different than normal. These trees are going to be trained in a more spreading, banyan style but as a forest. That's the best way I can explain my vision for this little group right now. There are three specifically cause I want this to less than 8 inches tall in the end. So I figured to have there be less threes so I can maintain that size while giving the trees space. It's always possible to add more cuttings if that is what I want, but would be an issue taking them out. This and my other topicals got only a few more weeks indoors before getting to go on their summer vacation outside with the other trees.
These guys aren't getting a pruning till probably well into summer. I want these to run for a but before I cut them back.
And yes, this TRAINNING pot is a tupperware container and as far as temporary, non-display pots go I am actually loving it. Mostly cause I can be sure if or not I am over watering and generally have an idea of what is going on in the pot. I am planning to save some of more of these for younger, in-training trees.

New baby Portulacaria Afra is repotted and so cute :3
Azalea doesn’t look like much yet but the foliage and roots are pruned and it’s repotted so hopefully it recovers well!
