Sometimes I wake up so emotional and happy I feel like my heart is going to burst from love. My baby turned 5 yesterday!! I’m finally just having a moment to collect myself. I’m overwhelmed by the love my family and friends show my babies. They’re my little miracles.
Two days until my baby is TWO.
Agathario coded moment from pre-school:
I have 2 chaos girls. They spend their days applying felt tip pens as make up, mixing sunscreen into other children’s water bottles and call each other daddy/mummy. I love them to pieces.
Today I went out on a trip with one of them (for obvious reasons they have to go on outings separately). We returned to pre-school to find the bathroom had been flooded. (This is a favourite pastime of pre-school children. You can partake in bathroom flooding by using paper hand towels as plugs and turning all the taps on and then walking out of the bathroom). It was cleared up but the floor was still visibly wet and had the caution wet floor sign. I just knew it was the work of “mummy”.
“Daddy” was last to finish changing her shoes back after the outing and came into the bathroom to wash her hands. Everyone else was at gather time. “Daddy” commented on the flood. I expressed teacherly disappointment. I turn around to check the cloakroom is tidy and all the shoes are in their places. I come back and “Daddy” is skipping out of the bathroom, heading over to interrupt gather time.
I hear she has left the tap on and then see she also plugged the sink with paper hand towels. It was like her chaos friend had missed her while she was on the day out and had left her calling card by flooding the bathroom and she has responded in kind, as if saying, “I got your message and I missed you too.”
