30 Day Challenge: Day 9
Pet Peeves.
One of my biggest pet peeves is card etiquette. Admittedly, I don't know the entirety of card etiquette, but here's what I know: Don't touch your cards before the dealer finishes dealing; Always pass to the left; Always cut to the right; Never shuffle again after you've cut the deck. And it bothers me so much, whenever people don't follow these rules. The big one that never fails to unnerve me is the touching the card before the everything's been dealt. It bugs me so badly! I keep my mouth shut for the most part because I realize how annoying it would be if someone was constantly telling me not to do something. What ends up happening is that I look perfectly fine on the outside, but on the inside, I'm squirming like I"m hearing nails on a chalkboard.
Umm, I guess another pet peeve is inane babble. I honestly have difficultly being around people who prattle. You know, they-sure-do-talk-a-lot-without-saying-much kind of a thing? I avoid them at all cost. Really, I could care less about the dribble of your life, but if you want to talk about something interesting like domesticated dinosaurs or communist arm and hammer, I'm all in. Bonus points if you actually converse with me and it's not as nonstop monologue in a general direction.
I probably have other pet peeves, but none come to mind, at the moment.
