has anyone in brisbane australia been getting prank phone calls recently/
so, a week or so ago, i had someone call me saying i had a call from someone in jail, i don't know anyone in jail, it was an 04 number and i did a reverse search on the scam phone number sites and it was a safe number. the person on the phone said i had a call from jail, i said i don't know anyone in jail, she said maybe it's a wrong number, i asked the name of the person calling and they put me on hold then hung up.
then my mum got a phone call from an 04 number recently, saying that he went on a date with with my mums daughter, ofc [he said 'i went on a date with your daughter last week], then said some stuff which my mum didnt tell me but it was some nasty stuff. then he said if she told anyone about the phone call he would kill her and her whole family. she asked what what was the name was and he said he went on a date with someone who is not my name.
anyway, not sure if it was a prank call, kinda serious and she did report it to the police but yeah.
