It was a great day for lessons. This afternoon I got to work with one of my super beginners. She has almost no experience with pool having just started a little late in life. But she is making progress and most importantly enjoying learning something new.
Today as usual we were working on our pre shot routine shooting long straight shots. It's really fun working with someone who has no habits at all, there are no habits to undo.
This evening my French friend came by to play. We played 8 ball for a few hours. I banked the 8 ball, he never got to the 8. It's funny playing with beginners who haven't asked for help. I never know weather I should throw on my teacher hat and help them, or just have fun and play. Tonight I played and it was fun...

Tonight was league night but sadly we had a tough situation. Two of my teammates were incapacitated. One had knee replacement surgery the other, an older fellow is having some health issues and hasn't been able to walk for a few weeks. A third player was out of town working in Texas. That left us with 3 players and myself. Our skill rankings would not allow all of us to play. So I decided to stay home. Kinda a big mistake. We lost 60-35... There is no guarantee we would have done any better had I been there and benched one of my mid level players. But you always have the what if's? I am gonna need to see about an emergency recruit to the team of this is gonna work.
