Hi Friends, this one features the Vampire!Chloe and Slayer!Beca characters from my Bechloe Drabbles fic. Enjoy!
âItâs a good thing youâre the slayer,â Chloe said as she kissed her way slowly down her loverâs bare back.
Beca was lying on her front, chin resting on her crossed arms as she relaxed into the soft pillows on the vampireâs four-poster bed. âSaid no other vampire ever,â she chuckled. âIâm really glad you got your soul back.â
Chloe grinned. âNo, I meant... I love how we get to sleep together during the day.â Theyâd been dating for a few months now and had fallen into a comfortable routine together.
âMmm...â Beca flipped onto her back and wrapped her arms around the beautiful redhead, pulling her closer to kiss her. âI have a question about that. How come no one ever questions why you donât take day shifts at the clinic?â
âIâm the boss,â Chloe shrugged. âPlus, none of the other vets have to work nights except for once in a blue moon when I take a night off, so I donât think they question it.â
âMakes sense,â the slayer mused. She ran her fingers gently through Chloeâs hair, smiling as the vampire growled softly. âGod, thatâs sexy,â she murmured, feeling her body respond with heavy arousal. âYou do that on purpose to turn me on, donât you?â
âMaybe...â the vampire winked impishly. âBecause, honestly, I canât keep my hands off you.â It was times like this that her sweet Georgia accent made Beca melt.
The brunette laughed, clapping a hand over her mouth. âJesus... are all creatures of the night as horny as you are, Beale? Not that Iâm complaining in the least!â
âI'm not a representative of ALL creatures of the night...â Chloe protested gently. âBut sex is a big thing for vampires. Sex, blood and causing chaos are about the only things vamps can really take pleasure from. Otherwise, our lives are long and boring, you know?â
âI take it not all vampires hold down a full-time job the way you do?â the slayer asked thoughtfully.
âVery few do actually,â the redhead shrugged. She nuzzled her loverâs neck, breathing in her scent as she cupped her breasts and caressed gently, sending waves of pleasure from her nipples to her clit. âBut you know Iâm different. Iâm not one for causing chaos these days.â
âMmmmm...â Beca moaned softly as Chloeâs fangs scraped gently along her skin. âIf youâre hungry, go ahead,â she said then with a smile.
âThanks, but itâs ok,â the vampire sighed. âI just like hearing how your blood rushes faster when I do that.â She giggled then. âAdmit it. You totally have a fang fetish!â
âDo not!â the slayer exclaimed indignantly at the same time as acknowledging to herself that it might in fact be true, when it came to Chloe. The best orgasms sheâd ever experienced had been when her lover was feeding from her while her fingers were inside her.
âI believe you, millions wouldnât,â the redhead chuckled. Beca loved the way the vampire's fangs made her speech sound slightly lisped. It was ridiculously cute. She was about to draw her lover in for another kiss when there was a sudden thudding against the front door of the basement apartment. Chloe listened, tilting her head, then sighed heavily. âShit.â
âWhat is it?â the slayer asked.
âItâs Aubrey, my... um...â Chloe swallowed, face turning deadly serious. âYou should go out the back, Beca.â
âOh my God. Chloe, are you married? Or dating someone else?â Beca asked, halfway between upset and indignant.
 The thudding was louder now.
âNo, of course not,â the vampire refuted as she got out of bed and pulled on a shirt and jeans. âAubrey and I arenât together anymore. Sheâs my sire, Beca, and if she finds you here, sheâll kill you. You need to get out now.â
âToo late,â a voice purred from the doorway and Chloe whirled to find her maker watching them with her arms folded, face fully transformed into the demon she was. âYou made dinner, Chlo. How thoughtful.â
Aubrey lunged forward but Chloe moved faster than a blink of an eye to put herself in front of Beca, catching her by the shoulders and stopping her dead. âBack off, Aubs,â she said, holding her hands up then, but not yet morphing.
The blonde tutted unhappily. âGetting your soul back really has turned you into an unsufferable bore, Beale.â
âI can take care of myself, Chloe,â Beca said evenly as she quickly pulled her own clothes on and got her stake out, holding it tightly in her hand.
âOooohhhh.... Oh my God... is this...? Youâre fucking the slayer?â Aubrey laughed incredulously. âWow, Iâm almost but not quite five steps away from being impressed.â She perched her hands on her hips. âSheâs so tiny though. I thought sheâd be bigger than just a bite. Do you have to ration her?â
âIâm more than enough to handle you,â the slayer spat, but Chloe glanced back, making big eyes at her.
âNot helping, Beca,â she sing-songed tightly. Then she turned back to her friend. âListen... I know how this looks but... this isnât just... I care about her, Aubrey. A lot.â
The blonde laughed and shook her head. âSheâs a human, Chloe! And the slayer! Do your kind a great service⌠Kill her!â
âNO!â the redhead exclaimed as her face fully morphed into its heavy-browed version. âIâm NOT going to hurt her and Iâm NOT going to let YOU hurt her either!â
âChloe, let me take her down!â the slayer said angrily.
âNo, Beca! Iâm not going to let you hurt Aubrey either. She's my best friend!â
The trio glared at each other, but Beca finally eased back, her feelings for Chloe making the decision for her. God, it was complicated. âAlright,â she said, holding up her hands and then pushing her stake into her back pocket. âLetâs just talk.â
âThereâs nothing to talk about,â Aubrey said, folding her arms stubbornly and looking away. âYou have twenty-four hours, Chloe. Choose. And if you choose her, you BOTH die.â
âAubrey, wait,â the redhead begged as her friend turned and walked away. âPlease?â
âChoose, Chlo,â Aubrey demanded from the doorway, then blinked away.
âFuck,â Chloe sighed as she dropped heavily onto the bed, face morphing back to fully human. âSheâs as stubborn as a cat.â
âThat was Aubrey Posen, right?â Beca asked softly as she sat down and put her arm around her loverâs shoulders. âSheâs over six hundred years old.â
âYeah,â the vampire nodded, pushing her hair back and resting her forearms on her thighs. âShe was already very old when I was a newborn. Sheâs very powerful.â
There was quiet between them for a long moment, then Beca cleared her throat softly. âYou have to break up with me, donât you.â It wasn't really a question. âWe have to go back to being enemies.â
âDonât do that,â Chloe said gently. âDonât be selfless. I donât want you to be. Donât you want to fight for us?â
âOf COURSE I do,â Beca replied. âBut Iâm not the only one in this relationship and youâve known Aubrey much longer than...â
Chloe held up a hand. âAubrey will just have to get over it because... because, Iâm in love with you and I donât want to break up,â she stated calmly. There was another beat of silence. âI donât expect you to say it back, but I want you to know how I...â
But Becaâs lips silenced her as she kissed her wantonly. âI donât ever want to lose you,â the slayer whispered then as she cupped the redheadâs face between her palms and searched her eyes. âI love you too much to survive it.â Then she smiled teasingly. âWait... youâre not glamouring me, are you?â
Chloe couldnât help but laugh at the familiar joke between them. âNo, you fell in love with me all on your own.â She sobered then. âListen, Iâll talk to Aubrey and make her understand.â
âAnd if you canât?â Beca asked worriedly.
The vampire looked away; eyes distant. âThen she and I will fight.â
Chloe had, despite Becaâs argument that she was the slayer and well able to take care of herself, walked her girlfriend home after dark before heading out to her Barden clinic. The vampire had been a vet for a very long time and owned several practices around the United States that she regularly visited. It was a large part of her fortune, and she had trustworthy managers at each one to run things for her when she wasnât there. She was also licensed to practice veterinary medicine in many states. It was a lot of upkeep but worth it. She could take the certification renewal exams in her sleep at this point.
She was walking past the Barden Cemetery when a voice she knew as well as her own made her slow down and chuckle. Her best friend was so clichÊ at times.
âI know you think Iâm being harsh,â Aubrey said as she stepped up to the fence and leaned against it, looking down at her manicure.
Chloe shrugged nonchalantly. âNo, I think youâre just being you. I get it, Aubs. Weâre vampires and weâre supposed to eat humans. Youâre not wrong... but thatâs just not me anymore, and itâs never going to change.â
The blonde levitated over the fence and landed next to her friend. âI can smell it on you, you know.â
 âSmell what?â the redhead asked.
âLove. There was a time I smelled it when you were with me.â
Chloe looked away, shoving her hands into her pockets. âI get why youâre upset,â she finally said. âI never thought Iâd ever feel this way again. I...â She sighed. âGetting my soul back was the most painful thing that ever happened to me, Aubrey, and I know we lost us because of it.â She looked back, meeting her best friendâs eyes solidly. âBut being truly honest, for me, losing Beca would be worse.â
âBut why her?â the blonde asked, lifting her hands in exasperation.
 âWhy Samuel?â Chloe countered.
 âThatâs not fair,â Aubrey growled.
âHow is it any different, Aubrey?!â the redhead demanded. âYou fell in love with a human just like I fell in love with Beca.â
âYes, but I killed him,â the blonde said bitterly.
âBecause you had no choice,â the younger woman added, tone softer. âHe was a hunter, and he was going to kill you after he found out what you were. Beca...â
âIS THE SLAYER!â Aubrey stabbed a finger into her friendâs chest. âSheâll try to kill you sooner or later, Chlo.â
âIs that what youâre worried about?â Chloe asked gently, taking her best friend's hand and holding it. âBeca loves me, Aubs. Sheâs not going to hurt me. Weâve been dating for months, and itâs been...â
She stopped talking as Aubrey yanked her hand back and then grabbed her by the throat, lifting her off the ground. âMonths?! This has been going on for months?!â
Blue eyes filled with tears. âI love her, Aubrey. Please donât try to take her away from me because I wonât let you and I donât want to lose you either.â
For a long moment, they stared at each other. Then the blonde tossed her friend away from her, as if she was nothing. âLove,â she spat, looking down at Chloe where she was sprawled on the ground. âLove never works out for creatures of the night, Chloe. Kill her... or I will.â
Then Aubrey was gone before Chloe even had a chance to reply. She picked herself up off the ground, shaking her head as she dusted herself off. âI hate it when she does that,â she muttered, then turned to trudge the last mile to her clinic.
âYou know,â Beca sighed as she swung her legs back and forth. She was sitting on top of a mausoleum, waiting to slay newly risen vampires and chatting with her girlfriend on the phone. Chloe had told her about her encounter with Aubrey earlier in the evening. âSheâs actually a terrible friend.â
âShe wasnât always like that,â the redhead sighed. âShe used to be uptight but fun. Now sheâs just uptight and cruel and I donât know how to help her.â
âWere you like that⌠before?â Beca asked tentatively.
âNoâŚâ Chloe sighed again. âI was a lot more chaotic but basically the same⌠but without the guilt.â She chuckled. âI was never really one for playing with my food.â
The slayer heard yapping in the background. âIs that a puppy?â she asked.
âItâs my lunch,â Chloe deadpanned, making her girlfriend gasp indignantly.
âNot even in jest, Beale! You canât make jokes about eating puppies like that!â
âIâm sorry, Baby,â the vampire giggled. âI promise no puppies will be harmed in the making of my lunch.â
âWhat are you having?â Beca asked curiously.
âNothing. Iâm still full, from having you earlier,â Chloe replied. Beca could see the vampireâs eyebrow waggle in her mindâs eye.
 âPerv,â she teased.
âYou should have seen her a hundred years ago,â Aubrey suddenly said, stepping out of the darkness into the glow of the streetlight. âShe made sailors blush.â
âUh⌠Chloe, I have to go. Aubreyâs here,â Beca said slowly, then hung up and shoved her phone into her pocket. âI assume youâre here to give me the shovel talk about not hurting your best friend, etcetera?â
The blonde grinned a little. âI think weâre past that, donât you? I know you have a plan to kill her. Why are you waiting? Are you trying to get information out of her first? Information about her six-hundred-year-old sire, maybe?â
The brunette shook her head disbelievingly. âUm⌠paranoid much?â Blonde eyebrows lifted but the vampire just shrugged. âI didnât even KNOW you were Chloeâs sire until the first time you and I met.â
âBullshit,â Aubrey chuckled. âIâm always the first vampire new slayers come after.â
Beca shrugged this time. âMy watcher is constantly telling me I need to study more, but I tend to focus on whatâs around me to battle. I donât care about vampires that arenât here in Barden.â Her eyes narrowed then. âYou should have stayed away, Aubrey, because now, I care about you.â
The blonde scratched her head. âAnd... am I supposed to be afraid of you?â she asked, scoffing a little.
âI think you shouldnât underestimate her,â Chloe said as she skidded to a stop. âHi, Baby.â
âHi, Beautiful.â The slayer hopped down from the roof of the mausoleum and bounced on her toes a little. âSo, whatâs going to happen tonight, Ms. Posen? Are we going to talk this out? Or am I going to kick your ass to hell?â
âYou gotta hand it to her,â Aubrey said, looking at Chloe. âSheâs brave in the face of death.â
âYou have no idea,â the redhead chuckled. âShe has skills too. I fought her seventeen times and even reading her mind, I couldnât beat her.â
Becaâs mouth dropped open. âBut... you said you werenât trying to kill me.â
Her girlfriend shrugged sheepishly. âI wasnât⌠but I WAS trying to beat you the first few times. Youâre just a better and more motivated fighter than I am. I kinda lost interest in it afterâŚâ
âYou got your soul back,â Beca and Aubrey said at the same time, the blonde vampire punctuating her words with an eyeroll. Chloe just shrugged again and started pacing a little.
âSo,â she said then. âWhat do we do? Aubs, I think youâve figured out that Beca and I arenât going to give each other up. Otherwise, you wouldnât be here. So⌠make your decision. Are we going to fight or are you going to get over it?â
The older woman sighed and shook her head. âYouâre infuriating, Beale.â She perched her hands on her hips. âBut fuck it. Iâm washing my hands of it. If you want to be with a slayer, itâs your funeral!â
âBeen there, done that,â Chloe teased, but she knew sheâd won the battle before the battle had even begun.
âUgh,â Aubrey exclaimed. âInfuriating! Donât expect me to be nice to her!â
âAnd donât expect ME to be nice to HER,â Beca added, although it was fairly half-hearted. She had to admit that a part of her was slightly terrified of the commanding blonde, even if she hadnât been a six-hundred-year-old vampire.
âWe can work on that,â the redhead grinned. âBaby steps, right?â
âJesus Christ⌠I need a damn drink,â Aubrey stated. âAn ALCOHOLIC one!â
âFind a bar then,â Beca said.
âUh⌠thatâs notâŚâ Chloe began. Then she shook her head. âYou know what, never mind. That works too.â Beca tilted her head in question, but Aubrey was already walking away to find a drunk victim. Two birds with one stone. The redhead chuckled softly. âIâll explain later. Letâs get out of here.â
And hand in hand, they headed toward the vampireâs clinic.
Beca looked carefully at her girlfriend, who seemed relaxed and happy. âThat puppyâs really ok, right?â
Chloe just rolled her eyes and shook her head. âBec.â
